Recently, I've been staring at the Folding@Home logo and I can't decide whether I should begin using it mainly because I'm not entirely sure what it does.

By the way, I turn my Playstation off rather than leaving it on standby.

So? But about Folding@Home, it's protein folding, the information from your PS3 is sent to a supercomputer in Stanford University, then studied to see why molecules fold, and in what cases. You will get to watch the molecules interact(Digital Presentation?). Anywho, they suggest you watch if any out of proportion movements occur, and report it the scientist in your server. As well, you can join a group based on their ranking, but i'm not sure what that part's all about.Believe it or not, you will notice some people using it in North Korea once in a while.

Are you talking about leaving the Playstation on or Folding@Home?

Leaving your Playstation on. Because the data transfered from Folding@Home, is through your cable/internet. Thus it wouldn't trigger an electric hungry PS3 in any way.

I always switch my PS3 off when I'm not using it.
