Should I wait it out for the newer PSP or get one now?

The PSP seems like a wonderful handheld. Personally, I have been a DS gamer. But, some of the games in it's library have interested me. Mainly, RPG's, too. Brave Story: New Traveler, Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology, Final Fantasy II and Jeanne D'Arc look awesome.

Plus, seems like Tekken: Dark Resurrection received a nice price drop, too. So, what should I do? Wait for the newer PSP whenever it comes around or grab one right now?

mmmmmm well since the new PSP comes out in like what next mounth? and it has better features than the current PSP so I'd say... Wait it out because the current PSP in my opinion is kind of a piece of crap... the buttons can break really easily...

WTF there is nothing really wrong with the old PSP model. I had mines for over a year and i've dropped it down wodden stairs, 10 feet on the pavement, off my kitched counter.. on the concrete floor at school all of this and the worst thing that has happened to it was the door didnt close properly. i simply snapped it back in place as if it was a bone or fracture. i was so suprised the screen didnt crack or anything. i did not have a warrentee and although the PS3 is not selling well ESPICIALLY with the 360's breaking down a lot i have a new respect for sony products now.

I had to trade mines in and im counting down the days for the new psp (Sept. 10th) but i fear my luck has run out because of this system being slimmer and thinner could possibly crack easier. wait it out i know its hard but it is waaaaaayyyyyyyy worth it

September 10th is sooner than I thought, actually. I may just get one now, though. The TV-Out business and what not does not get me too excited. Besides being smaller, are there any other dramatic and new features?

I would wait for the new psp because it has better features and different colors! I'm waiting for the new psp too!

I guess you are right, my friend. September is not too far away. I should grab some games before I get it, though.

I couldn't help it, guys. But, I purchased one. A brand new one, the $169 one. I have been playing Brave Story, ever since.

I will get the new PSP, as well, though. But, I just needed the PSP. I needed it.
