I would like the psn to rent games out where you download the whole game then after a week or so after you have had the game you can't play it any more unless you rent the game again. I think this would be a whole lot better than the downloading movies thing and I think this would please more ps3 owners. I'm trying to think of a reasonable price for it....I guess around 10 to 15 dollars a month.

Or maybe they could rent games out but only rent half the length of the game for a cheaper price just for the people that want to get a good feel for the game and decide if they want to buy the game or not. Not really for the people that want to rent and necessiarly beat the game but more for people that just want to get a really good feel for the game and decide if they really want that game or not.

I realize that downloading a whole game would take up a lot of space but after you play the game you just delete it and rent another game if you choose to do so.

well, wouldn't that kinda be like demos? I think a few people would complain if that happens, since demos are supposed to be free and all.
I see how that might work with movies/tv shows, but I dont see how that would work with full games.

You'll have to be content with demos. There is no way you'd want to download a 25-50GB game on your laptop, and any internet slower than mine (read: everyone except the Pentagon) would take forever.

Somewhat like a demo but you get to play more of the game and seeing as not all games are putting out demos I would consider it. Like I said they could charge like $4 maybe $5 for like downloading a 1/3 of the game. You don't have to do this every month just do it when there are games out that your interested in playing. Of course they could keep releasing demos but the thing is is that not everyone releases demos. Some of the most hyped games don't releases demos and at $60 bucks a game you kinda want to make sure you like what your buying and when you have not even touched the game you really have no clue just how much you will or won't like the game.

I would be pretty content with demos that is if every game released demos. Isn't this kinda like what is going on with qore except qore is pretty useless?

Besides my download speed has been the same for over a year. Don't you think they could do something to speed that up? I remember when I first got a ps3 it took a couple of hours to download the resistance demo then they found a way to speed that up maybe they could find a way to speed up the current download speed off of psn seeing as its been awhile since I've seen improvement in that area?

Qore is an e-zine. So not really. Qore has exclusive articles, videos, etc, plus some exclusive playable items, such as the Naruto demo, access to the SOCOM beta, etc.

Well it looks like everything has its positives and negatives but at least with the download service you would get the chance to play every game before you paid $60 for the dam thing.

Just need to do smart purchases. Know what games you like, read reviews (but don't base your purchase off them), watch videos, talk to friends, and if you are really on the edge, rent it from a rental store. Could be cheaper and you wouldn't have to take up such a large part of your HDD. I skip my last recommendation, renting, and still, I haven't made a purchase in quite a long time that I haven't been happy with. Sure, sometimes they aren't my new #1 favorite game or whatever, but they are always still awesome to play.

Since demos do exist for download we can go completely around that. With the download service they can offer games that don't have demos and they can charge like $1 to play the game or something cheap. The game length would be double to triple the length of a demo. I think every game should release a demo but it doesn't look like its going to happen.

I realize that this might limit the release of free demos on the psn so sony will have to step in and say at least half to 75% of all games will release with free demos. The point is is that I would like to play a game before I buy it and here lately it seems like every really big hyped game doesn't release a demo and its BS. I'm not buying into the hype any more because it screwed me over once before and I won't let it happen again.

I agree with you that it is not a bad idea, in theory. But reality says that it would never happen, so is pointless to ponder on.

You know its not only sony that can rent out games. Why doesn't ebgames or gamestop rent out some used games that are brand new? Like $5 to rent the game out for like 5 days or something like that because I can't find any rental store around in my area with brand new ps3 games and I don't feel like renting for a whole month online.
