Should Sony have delayed Home again?

Now that Home is finally out, a lot of ps3 owners are describing the application as lacking. There isn't much to do and everybody is surpsied that this is the final product after two years. According to this thread, the majority of us find it boring, almost twice as much who enjoy it. We have all seen the topics filled with complaints and criticism.

So now I ask you this: After two years of delays, should Sony have delayed Home once again? Would it have been better to wait longer for a better product (even after the initial delays)? Most find Home underwhelming and we all remember the connection problems that occured at lunch, and I believe some people still have problems. So what should they have done?

Edit: To all these people replying that Home is still a beta, you are right, but that does not answer my question. I enjoy Home, I am not bashing it.

i voted yes but now i change my mind i want them to be done with this crap so they can focus on bigger better things home is lame i knew it would be from the start. if you want to socialize do it in real life and while im bashing virtual socializing im going to bash virtual flirting or picking up its lame and sad if the only way you can get someone is by hitting on them in a virtual world so they cant even see who you really arehnic7466

Yesterday I bought my Ps3.

I tried logging into Home which failed. Tried 2 hours later and it worked.

Tried to setup my charecter and it wouldn't let me press the X button to do anything. Then I couldn't figure out how to get out.

It was stupid and weird

I believe Sony made a mistake by showing it off way too early as always and showing off features that they later took out. Showing Home so early with all kinds of features just gave people high hopes and high expectation. But as you can see, the reception for Home releasing at its current state is more negative than positive.

So in a way, yes, they should have delayed Home, but only if it wasn't even announced to begin with. If Home came out as a surprised, I believe more people would've loved it and accepted it with open arms, but people were just expecting more since they announced it so so early.

They should've released it when it was in it's bare bones state at GDC. The game room is ok, and the idea of having people come look at my trophy room and stream my music is cool, but the theater and the courtyard(or whatever its called) are totally useless areas. If I'm gonna play a game I'm not going to log into home, go to that game's area and ask people if they want to play.

Home is just for meeting people and talking , WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT!?KrzyJoe
