Should they remake FF7 for ps3? (poll)

This topic has been made one million times now and the results are always the same: we don't get the damn remake. So this particular topic will have the same results as the previous one.

Also, option number 4 would be really idiotic because there was never an announcement for a FFVII remake, making your purchase the biggest fail ever.

People came to belive that when SE showed FF7 TECH DEMO three years ago that they are making it for the PS3, but I really don't care if they remake it or not, I haven't played the original so if I want to I could just buy it from Ebay and enjoy it.

I know people will say next gen graphics add new content and voice cast but really the original one is considered one of the best game in gaming so it is fine if it stays as it is.

Anyway SE have been remaking the FF and have reached FF6 now so you never know.

Edit: Sony could just add the game as a PSN game and people will download it.

I know it will never happen but if they did remake FF7 I'm sure it would be awesome!

should they? yeah why not. I'd prefer a full-on sequel rpg with the same cast.

My opinion: I don't know if they SHOULD make one, but if they did, it'd have to have the same battle-system.;)

I agree. I do not want to see a Final Fantasy VII remake because Squre-Enix would undoubtedly mess it all up. The original PS1 game was a masterpiece and I do not want to seem them ruin it by remaking it in the vein of Final Fantasy X.

I know it will never happen but if they did remake FF7 I'm sure it would be awesome!

Never? SquareEnix remakes their RPGs pretty regularly. They've remade all the original final fantasy gams up to part 6 and they're about to release a remake of the original Star Ocean game for the PSP.

So, will a FF7 remake ever be made? I think the answer is yes, but probably not until the end of this generation or the beginning of the next considering all the projects they are currently working on. My money's on 2013.

though i must say i dont like FF7, overrated imo.

No they shouldn't remake it. It'll destroy 7's image. You don't fix what isn't broken. If anything, Square should just release FF7 as a PSN download. Be able to play straight through without a disk swap screen, maybe some extras with it aswell. That's really the only logical thing to do. With the costs of making a game today along with everything crashing. I don't think it would be a good idea. (oh and DS doesn't count as it costs FAR less to make a DS game than it is to make a PS3 or 360 one) The only thing they can do is move forward. Besides, why is it only FF7? Why can't FF6 or FF8 get a remake? Sure I may like FF7 to a degree, but it's not something I would go out of my way for. I've beaten FF7 once, that's all I really needed. The game dragged on too long and to me, it got boring. Sure the 4 end boss battles were epic, but that's about it. 6 and 8 are the only Final Fantasy games I've ever actually came back to, to replay. So not everybody wants or cares for an FF7 remake. Just play the original one.
