Shuting down PS3 while Frozen

Hey,

My PS3 froze a few minutes ago. I waited 5-10 minutes to see if it would unfreeze itself, and it didn't. I pressed the powr button down for a few seconds; it beeped once, then three quick times. I undertand that the 3 quick beeps means it had forzen. Is what happened, and what I did harmful for the PS3?

No, that's how I turn it off when it freezes, never from the back though.Furi-Kun

Alright, thanks again. Mine, this past time had forzen for the first time, (it had a couple of days ago, but unfroze by itself) and it, both times happened while using features in the dashboard such as browser or store.
