I was reading the review at ign for marathon and the reviewer said the game made him sick as in motion sickness. That brought back bad memories of a game I played in high school. That game was 007 golden eye. I played that game for 5 strait hours (that's really not that long) and I got so damn sick I couldn't play that game again. Its one of the best games of all time but I couldn't play it due to motion sickness. I was wondering has anyone else got sick playing video games? D

My mom has epylepsy and certain games will put her into a seizure. For example, Tiger Woods, when the heart is beating. You might want to look into that.

The original PS2 version of GTA: VC used to drive me nuts. The fuzzy graphics with my old 20" Goldstar, and the extremely pink areas would cause me all kinds of hell. I moved to the PC version and I haven't had a single problem with Vice City. In fact, its my all time favorite GTA game. I also had the same problem with San Andreas as well, as that game was too orange for some reason. I am tempted to try an old PS2 version of Vice City or LCS and VCS and on my REGZA 32" and the PS3 to see if there is a change.

I get that way with certain games. Certain framerates, low quality polygons ect..

I feel like I just want to die, literally it's that bad for me. My head feels like it exploded and my guts feel like they're about to rip out. I can't play the likes of Duke Nukem 3D, or Quake 1 or 2 or even Half Life 2. But I can play Quake 3 just fine, UT2004, COD3, RFOM and Oblivion on my PS3 just fine. It's just the games itself, just FPS'ers mainly. The older ones.

Besides sometimes getting a little light-headed while playing resistance, i've never had anything like this, resistance is the only game i've had this with for some reason.

i haven't noticed any ill effect from playing games but I just started so my experience is very limited - still i doubt i'd be affected much as i play with my feet firmly planted on the ground, in the classic sitting couch-potato position.

I kind of got that when I was playing one of the early PC tomb raider games. When you moved the camera it would do it, but really blocky. It made me dizzy.

Funny.......yeah I have the exact same problem. It used to happen to me all the time in golden eye and basically no other game. I didnt have the problem again for the longest time until I played the Darkness a few weeks ago. A couple of minutes of that game and I feel straight sick.

Some games just give me a headache when I try to concentrate to hard, but not motion sickness. In Canadas Wonderland, I tried playing gameboy - pokemon blue - on the ride top gun (had wriststrap on so all good) and it gave me motion sickness :P

My friend gets this when he tries to watch a video in the car. And its even worse if hes playing video games in the car (psp, small CRT or LCD). He doesn't have any problem riding in cars normally, just something about video screens and cars, lol. No problems at home for him though.

As for me, haven't noticed anything. I've never really had motion sickness before. :)

every hitman game makes me feel like dying. I get very dizzy and warm and get very bad headaches and my body temperature goes up. I have to drink tons of water to feel normal again. Too bad cause the game is pretty good.

it takes quite alot to push me over the edge, when i first started playing SSBM when it came out i had been going for about 6 hours or so when i started feeling sick, i ended up throwing up like 10 minuts later, had a glass of water, went back to playing.

The second time was when i got my PS3, i got it on a thursday night and had friday off so i played trhough the night on RFOM and Blazing ANgels, played trhough saturday, went out for half hour for more snack and NBA 2K7 adn Ridge Racer 7, sunday morning after playing Ridge racer all night long i started feeling queezy, everything kinda started to blur together, it was 11:30 in the moring when i finally had to shut it off, although that might of just been pure lack of sleep rather than motion sickness.

very long time ago i rented Half Life for the PS2 and i got very light headed and sick. So much so that i litterally stayed away from FPS for a good while, Resistance Fall of Man is the first FPS i every bought and that problem seems to have gone away, i think it had to do with the graphics or maybe i was sitting to close to the tv, who knows but your definately not alone.

The first game to give me "motion sickness" (i just called it feeling nauseated with a headache....) was the first Turok on N64. Since then, the only other game to have that effect was F.E.A.R. I don't know what the cause is, but I'll gladly stay away from games like that if they're just gonna make me feel sick!:?

Yea, when I was in college we would play Golden Eye 007 all weekend (the 64 being mine . . . well I played about every day) When I went to bed I would dream of being in the game always running to the golden gun or Sniper rifle shoot 1 or 2 players and run to the armor anad back for some more. back then I never lost a round. . . ever because I knew those maps incredibly well.
