*Sigh* PSP or Wii?

Okay. Brawl looks kickass and so do some of the other Wii titles that are also quite appealing.

But then again..there's also Crisis Core, the Metal Gear games, Patapon, God of War and the upcoming Final Fantasy Dissidia.

Both systems and their games look on par pretty much; but I want your opinions first.

It would be nice to hear suggestions from owners of both systems.

PSP, ive only just got a PSP but ive more or less left my Wii to collect dust since picking it up on launch day. Its not really a satisfying console for the hardcore gamer and with the exception of a few titles such as SMG, it wont really entertain you unless you have a few friends over.

The PSP has that great pick up and play feel to it and does have games that produce a console gaming experience such as God of war, the GTA games, the syphon filter games and of course games like FF7:CC.

Seeing how you are in the psp forums most people are going to say to get the psp.

Some people say that the psp doesn't have a big enough libary of games. This may be true but, the libary has a lot more diversity then the wii. Other people say that the psp has more hardcore games, I argee with that. Plus on the psp you can go online, listen to music, look at pics and watch vids. I'd get a psp if you like the games on it :D.

Edit: I played brawl at my friends, it had a few more people but it's pretty much the same as the first (it dosen't use the wii motion controls! >=( .) Oh yeah, and there is no Roy so says my friend.

Go to 'general games discussion' or 'system wars' and post this question there. Most people here are going to say ' Get the PSP'

They're both great platforms- I own both of them. You could really go either way here and probably be satisfied- especially since both platforms have had a number of outstanding titles released lately. (Wii has SSBB, Super Mario Galaxy, and Mario Kart Wii... PSP: Has Patapon, Gow: Chains of Olympus, and FF7: Crisis Core.)

If you consider yourself a hardcore gamer though, or really want to play online a lot, the PSP is a much better choice. If you don't consider yourself purely hardcore however or prefer local multiplayer, the Wii should be your choice.

That's just my two cents.

the nintendo wii up to this point is (which now i can say) over-rated. Aside from No More Heroes, Super Mario Galaxy & Smash Brawl....it's collecting major dust. The only 1 game i am looking forward to is Animal Crossing City Folk, that's about it.

PSP on the other hand with the price of what the wii cost, you can easily get the god of war bundle + couple of used games. Out of those 2, the obvious pick would be PSP.

It's hard to say because it's like comparing apples to oranges. The PSP is a handheld system geared towards the solo more-hardcore gamer, whereas the Wii is a console that's more geared towards a family environment. Depending on which of those you consider yourself, the choice should be pretty easy. For me, it was PSP by a longshot ;3
