Why don't you just blog about how you don't like trophies? I don't care about this thread, does that make me not care about trophies by proxy??

they only added it because it has been proven that achievements = more game sells for the 360 over the ps3. in other words ppl that own both systems would more then likely buy the 360 version because of the added replay value. with that said I own both systems and find myself buying the 360 version over the ps3 one. I could care less about trophies because it just doesn't work well. you have to download the update for some games then replay everything to get the trophies. Its just not as integrated as achievements are. If they want it to work the need to start fresh from the start with the ps4 and not some after thought half baked tack on it is today.

Trophies/achievements just seem pointless to me. Maybe if they unlocked extra content, I would care more or actually attempt to get them. But as of right now I could care less

Signed. Don't really understand the pseudo-award thing or the odd sense of self achievement surrounding it. It's a video game, not life. If it's fun, that's good. No fun, it's crap. If you want to feel you've achieved something, turn off the game & do something nice for someone else. Too hard, leave on the game & let the person next to you play your next life. Spread the fun. Then again maybe I just suck at getting trophies & the utter shame has diminished my soul to foolish cliches. God of War I beg your forgiveness.

They should add something to the game, like unlocking a special costume or an extra gun. As it is now, it's pointless.

If I can get them or I have the desire; then I get them....if I can't or don't think its fun getting the trophies then I won't.....for instance I own games like Pain, Far Cry 2, Street Fighter 4 and burn out paradise...I don't enjoy playing some of these games and I don't have the patience to get the other trophies that seem to consume way too much time so I don't. Anyone who misses out on games because they don't support trophies are definitely missing out....and I feel especially even more sorry for people who force themselves to sit through a horrible game/game they can't stand playing just to get that platinum.

Well trophies are nice but they are overrated many peple refuse buying some great game because they dont have trophies like Valkyria chronicles, and they are very good to show people that you are no life.

I don't really care about them, but I'll admit if I do get one I'm curious to as what it is. So I don't actively try to get them, but it's fun when I stumble across them.

Gonna have to sign. I really don't see how doing a rake load of pointless tasks makes you a "better" gamer. I think they take away from the immersion and joy of playing a great game. Only trophies I've collected were accidental.

Don't care about them one bit. Now that I'm out of work , and can't afford any new games, I'm going through my old games and collecting trophies. Even then if the requirements are outrageous I don't bother. Burnout Paradise requiring a PSEye, not gonna happen. Create a popular level in LBP, to hell with that. Mirrors Edge, HA, don't get me started.
