I am in LOVE with this game, and personally I think it is THEE best single player experience to be had this gen. Yes, I even found it better than MGS4, which is quite a feat, considering that MGS4 is one of my most favorite games of all time. GoW III is just that good.

i'm about 7 hours in, and oh my god it is the greatest game i've ever experienced. The graphics trump anything else i've played and the scale of it all is absolutely mind-blowing. and there's also the weapons. it's the time in the entire series that they are all freaking awesome!!!!!!!!

If it weren't for the fact that there have been so many games of the same genre lately I'd say it's a lock but let's give it some more time. I was going to say top 10 but realistically it's probably top 20 to top 25. I know that sounds devastating or insulting but it's up there but it's neck and neck with a lot of other classics (in other peoples' eyes). Take Assassin's Creed II for example. Not my kind of game in the least but it's virtually on par with GOWIII in the grand scheme of things. If it weren't for the 300 atmosphere and some of the cheesy dialogue I think that GOW3 could have been on par with Shadow of the Colossus. It's just not deep enough, it needs more RPG elements. I wish there was a game that was 50% Demon's Souls and 50% God of War.

I will admit though Uncharted 2 in my opinion is better and probably Metal Gear Solid 4 too.

Uncharted 2 pressed the AWESOME button several times, God Of War 3 destroys the AWESOME button!! Lol *SIGN* this game is worth buying a PS3.

I think Capcom should make a Resident Evil game going backto it's old roots with tons of blood and gore,using the same graphics from God of War 3.
