Silent Hill Downpour - Anyone else considering it?

It's been a long time since I've played a SH game. A very long time. So I think it's time to reaquaint myself with this series.

The premise sounds interesting: A conviced criminal escapes custody due to a freak bus accident, and winds up staggering into Silent Hill. Horror ensues.

Still contemplating about it. Long running series do change obviously, but the SH series is one that I find hard to get back into especially where the original creators are gone. I'll try out the demo first and see how I feel. *if there is one*

i already paid it in full and waiting for it to be release, although some past silent hill games havent felt or lived up to the previous silent hill games. i still loved every single one of them, silent 1 and 2 are my fav. but i love the others as well, only game that gave u the horror feeling and chills down ur spine. unlike other games *looks at R.E.*JoKeR_421

I will most likely buy it if it is recieved well enough. But I wouldn't pay more than $40.

I'm sad there isn't a PC version though. Won't be able to get it very cheap.

It may not be a day one purchase, but I have no doubt I will play this at some point. Even though it has changed a bit over the years, nothing serves up the chills quite like Silent Hill.

Yes I am absolutely considering it. Day one purchase.

Of course I'll be buying it, one look at my sig confirms that. With the HD collection (SH 2 and 3) too March is gonna keep me busy and terrified at the same time, can't wait !

I've pretty much given up on the Silent Hill series after Homecoming. I understand that games change over time, but at least games like Resident Evil changed into highly enjoyable action games. Silent Hill games have changed into crap IMO.

Silent Hill isn't my cup of tea, but I think it's decent, and the story is very interesting, especially in Silent Hill 2, one of the best Silent Hill games in the series......

Anyhow, I probably wont be getting this game, and will save for something else.

only if it gets good reviews and scores atleast an 8.0 . Konami messed up when they let go of the original team (series was JUST starting to pick up & people discovering it but they ran out of patience due to poor sales)

After Silent hill 3, the series went downhill. They make them now just for the heck of it, Otherwise the first 3 i consider the best horror games ever created.

I've never played Silent Hill before, but I'm planning on getting the collection that comes out, and then maybe SH: Downpour.
