silent ps3??

well, when i am playing gta4 ( my room was quiet) my blu ray drive was making some jerking sound i dont know..while it is loading..after the load the jerking sound was no more but when i get close i could still here it.the jerking sound doesnt make too much noise though. are u facing the problem too or maybe it is normal???

i rented rachet and clank and the disk was pretty dirty and scuffed. the game plays fine nice and quite, until i go into the invintory menu's. then it makes the exact jerking sound your talking about. Im not sure if its the dirty disk or the way the game was made. I do know that msg4 didn't do this, or if it did it was very very quite/unnoticable.machiavell8x8

Dumb question but did you try cleaning it or did you just shove it in there dirt and all?

The sound is just the blu-ray drive reading data off the disk.

It is complety normal -- expect newer models of PS3 to eventually be quieter aswell ...
