i'm probably going to get a Ps3 soon. i already have a 360 and one of the best features on it is Xbox Live. but i don't know anything really about the online play on the Ps3. i even heard you can't actually talk to the people you're playing against...which i don't really believe. so can you guys who have the system help me out and tell me a little about the online play/service on the Ps3? how is it...what can you do with it...what do you think it's missing? anything would help.

yeah and he sounds like someone who doesn't have a PS3. online with the PS3 is fine. it's free. you can chat. and if geometry wars is that big a deal you can download super stardust hd or blast factor and calling all cars and skyscraper.

at least resistence and rainbow six vegas have voice chat, and we know warhawk and tekken 5 DR Online will have it too.

seriously...and why do people act like Live was that great out of the gate? they didn't have chat in every game the first year it came out. oh...not to mention it wasn't FREE. lol.

Yeah it has a good selection of demos,game videos, hd trailers and a movie and tv show service is apparently coming pretty soon.
I'll tell you one thing about the PS3 online compared to Xbox online, 0%lag. Absolutley no lag. I hate it becuase when playing gears online, your bullets go slower and sometimes the server holds up. I've been playing strait for a whole week and just no lag whatsoever.
hm...i like to hear that. becuse i stopped playing gears just because of that...and The Darkness, that's the worst online showing i've ever seen in my life.
