My little sister put a slightly dirty DVD to watch a movie on my PS4. When I ejected it to put my game, I noticed that when I slid my finger across it there was a light layer of dust. Now, from my understanding dust is really attracted to that CD surface and the only way it would really come off was with a cloth.

Do you think it may have spun fast in my PS4 and the dust started circulating and landed all on my Ps4 Laser Reader?

So far I haven't had any problems, but maybe it will begin giving my problems later on. I would really appreciate an answer ! Thank you.

1) The interesting thing is when I blowed hard to remove the dust off the CD, it only comes off when I wipe it with cloth. So maybe the dust did not circulate when it was spun really fast in the Ps4?

You'll have to purchase another PS4.

No no no, TC needs to purchase 3 PS4's and 3 PS4P's, one for TC and one for the sister, and the 3rd system of each is a backup in case something fails.

It sounds like it's perfectly fine. The opening into the drive has a little brushy surface that will help prevent loose dust and particles from getting in anyway. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

@xantufrog: You do have a great point! I just bought Batman Arkham Knight and no problems reading or installing the disc. I'm sure it's fine and it's working now, so from now on if I put clean discs then it will be A okay! :D . Thanks for the help sir.

I also did a test on my DVD player and dust stays on the CD even after it spins. I guess there is a static bond between dust and a CD surface, interesting to know!
