Ultimately useless but its still the coolest thing I've seen a sixaxis do yet. With that kind of tracking, theirs no excuse for games to have bad motion sensing! Sorry, if old.
Linky!!!

all motion did for controllers was boosted up the price.
$50 for controllers is just not right.

I think motion sensing is a great addition, but I do agree that they need to learn to implement it in a way that justifies the $50 price tag! Nice vid though, thanks for posting!Â

I second that. :D
Stop complaining about price. Are your guys' pckets really that empty?
Don't you know that you're getting a rechargable/motion-detecting/wireless controller? Microsoft's controller can be wireless, but you need to use batteries, or pay additional for a rechargable battery pack. Not to mention that it doesn't have motion detection and is around the same price (without the charger kit).
Just because the price of the PS3's controller is comparable to the 360's doesn't make either one's price justifiable.
Â
The point is 50 dollars for any sort of extra controller is a bit much.Â
How so? If I remember correctly almost every controller has been around 40-50$ in price. And when you get new technology in your products your price will go up accordingly. It's time for people to stop "hoping" for "rebates" and "price cuts", the reality now is that you have to pay to get the latest.
50$ can easily be justified by the SIMPLE addition of wireless.
The GC's Wavebird was never that expensive, though. That's a problem with all next-gen systems... controllers are just priced too high. How so? PS3 controller aren't expensive. Just don't be too rough on them...
[QUOTE="jasonyu"]Isnt the Xbox 360 ontroller $50. And it doesnt have motion sensing.

Not really. All the first poster did is fail to address the topic at hand and instead offer a comparison to draw attention away from the original arguement over the cost of the SixAxis (which I believe, like all the other controllers this gen, is to expensive). PS3 fans never discuss their consoles problems, all they do is point out corresponding (sometims not even that) problems with other consoles.
I think its well worth the cost, they used Ant-grav tech from back engineering alien devices, for the cell also, the real cell pu is a living breathing organ inside alien tech surrounded by a thick membrain that takes its power from frequny osscilation, kind of solar power from shifting FQpulse osscilations.the ps3 is powered for us by electricity thogh . The fact that sony and ms get b use this tec is becaus both companies have some top men working with back engineering guys,unimpendium115

I dont think the cost of the controller is a problem at all. I mean, the PS2 controller is still $25-30. Adding BT and batteries, and motions sensing to a controller all while reducing the weight(in part to the removal of the dualshock) is a great step to take. $50 is nothing to pay for what you are getting.Â

I think PS3 fans are not aware of their console problems. I know I'm not.
PFFT ... whadda rip-off! I bought it an' there wasn't even ONE axe in the package. False advertising, mis-labelling, shenanigans!Morfessa
I just though the end of the sentence would be in the package... sixaxis... Six axe is WHAT??
WHAT IS SIX AX .. TELL ME !!
I opened the package but the end was not there !!! :cry:Â
the sixaxis is too high, live with it. $50 with no usb cable is a ripoff, then you have companies selling the "charge cables" for $10. lol what a joke.rued2k6Oh noes! USB cables are so expensive!! With my small salary I can't afford a USB cable! $1 is too expensive for me!!
Sony should have included an USB cable. But we all have hundreds of does things around. Â
[QUOTE="mugwuffin"]couldnt that just be a magnet?bob_dartagnan

I was thinking the same thing.
Apparently not. It's pushes and pulls. It's already shaking in the first second as he brings the controller close to the thing.Â

The Playstation 3 console provides 1 USB cable out-of-the-box. Any other is optional really, and what are the chances that both your controllers go dead at the same time anyway?

My point exactly. USB cables are cheap, one USb cable already comes with PS3, and the chances of both controllers go dead at the same time it's minimalPlease Log In to post.
