Sixaxis LED

Why do all the pics of the sixaxis show that it has a red led on the home button? Its even in the papers that came with the PS3. Was it originally supposed to be there? eltono19

the buttons on mine, but its not orange or nothing like that, its just clear with the PS symbol under it.

There was supposed to be a LED on the gamepad PCB which is noted by the fact there is a LED5 solder point on it. Pretty much if you take your Sixaxis apart you can solder your own LED in and have that light.

Notice the LED5 solder point right in the middle.

meh too much work for a little light. though it would be cool to have, just not worth it...... to me ofcourse.

The controller in that pic is a magical controller.
