It was easier in skate. to pull off tricks on flatland. Your skate turned faster allowing you the ability to keep up a combo on the ground.
In skate. 2, this is harder. I guess the developers were pushing for the use of ramps and things like that, because it's a lot harder to get a 3x multiplier on flatland alone.
I loved skate emphasis on realism...just when i had my hopes all high & went and pre ordered skate 2....i thought they were gonna build completely where they left off with skate 2...boy was i wrong.. i mean im not gonna totally bash skate 2 i just felt cheated..
How can you go for realism in one installement & in the next game u have hulk strenght push dumpsters around...yea they literally doubled they array of moves but at the same time i would have to redo challenges or redo a video shoot...not because of lack of skill, but out of trial and error..the right stick needs severe tweakin..the moveset should be more defined to a certain section of the stick...im not gonna get started with offboard controls.the camera cant quite keep up with my skater so i always find myself lettin off the push when i land to slow up and let the camera catch up with me...i mean let me say skate 2 is a great game.. but if uve played skate u would feel cheated...i think gta SA transition to GTA4 is somethin almostalong the same lines

skate. 2 is still a better package, though.
