Hey guys I already bought a ps3 80gb MGS4 bundle because it offered bc anyways i was wondering if anyone had any info on this current situation im in im going to the uk in a couple weeks and i live in canada and was wondering if i buy a slim here will it work in the uk because i called the dudes at gamestop they said the slim is locked or something like that so nay help will be greatly appreciated thanks

as long as you get a power converter you should be fine. ps3 games are not region locked. ps2 games are, but since the slim cant play ps2 games (not yet maybe), you shouldnt have a problem.

Games aren't locked but movies are. And get a different power cord, not an adapter/transformer.

Thanks for the input guys buti already told the dude at gamestop that he said the PS3 itself they system is locked so if i buy a slim in canada can only work in canada not in the uk were im going any advice on this would be helpful

He doesn't have a clue.

I have played European, Japanese, and American PS3s in Texas, USA. Gamestop is good for the used game trade, but trust me, they don't hire their staff based on knowledge of the game industry.
