I connected my slim psp to my tv today via the component cables. The picture looks fine but I don't get sound at all in my game of Star Ocean. Once I remove the component cable after going back to the XMB, sound comes back. Anyone know what I am missing? Thanks.

Red, green, blue then one white and one red for audio. So 5 total.

Ouch, I feel really dumb now. What happened is, I didn't have a clear enough look at the back of my tv and the audio cables (red, white) were connected to another input other than the component set. I switched them over and now all is well. Sorry for the dumb question, thanks for the replies.

i have the same problem, but i've just checked all the jacks, everything is in the right place, it's all in firmly and i still get no sound, yet when i used it a couple of weeks ago, it was fine :\ i'm trying to play ff7 on my tv due to the bigger display and i didn't even have the key tone in the main psp menu. any help would be much appreciated

edit: i feel like a total idiot now, i forgot there were two audio inputs on my tv, one for component and the other for vga/pc *facepalm*
