Obviously the Slim one is better but I really only care about one thing. How long is the slim's battery life. The regualr PSP battery life is pretty bad and I would really like a better life span. Could i trade in my old PSP for the slim one with some deal? Thanks for the help

The slim's battery life is only about 1 or 2 hours more than the phat's. The main difference I noticed between the two was the loading times. This is due to the slim's RAM, which is twice the phat's. This also speeds up the web browser quite a bit, so much that I actually use it now. Another difference is the obvious, it's smaller. I didn't expect it to be much lighter, but man, there's a huge loss of weight there.

is there any trade in deals going around? Otherwise would it be worth it to just get another one?

The slims are more fragile then the fats. I dropped mine on my rug and it was dead so I bought a fat one and a case.

I think EB/Gamestop still only give you like $50 even if you're upgrading. You could always eBay your phat.

Only minus it has over the fat version is the fact that the analog stick is not removeable.. While the fat is which you could put on a way better analog stick.. Thats pretty big imo, why Sony decided to make the analog stick on theirs not removable is beyond me.

If what you want is more battery life, get a slim, a phat's stamina battery and another battery cover. Bam there goes around 10 hours of uninterrupted gameplay
