Slot Loading

I know the PS3 is slot loading but is anyone actualy playing it like that and to add is it good for my PS3?

Also everyone is saying that the PS3 gets really hot but mine doesent, infact it's like it gets cooler. It may just be that I have a cold basement but I would like to find out for sure. Thanks for your replies!:D

Slot loading is when you put the disk in and then take the disk out and you can still play.
