Slow Down in Oblivion?

I rented oblivion the other day, and I experianced some major slow down about 2-3 hour in, almost unplayable, it did stop after a bit, but it was really wierd, felt like it was going to crash or somthing.

Anyone else have this happen to them? ps3 over heating? bad port to ps?

Yeah that happened to me when I rented it... but then I went out and bought it and it worked just fine, so i'm guessing that the disc had a few fine scratches the messed with the reading.

And it's an amazing port to the PS3, so it's not that. But the game tends to sorta lag for like 3-5 seconds every once in awhile, but it's still playable as it rarely happens.
