But when i use Wireless a connection on my PS3 i will download at around 85 KB/s..When i use a wired connection i see about a 15 KB/s improvement up to 100 KB/s...My signal strength while wireless is 100% and my PS3 is about 1' under my router (it is on a shelf with no top or sides)

My ISP is Clearwire Corporation and i use a Linksys WRT54GS Router..Can anyone help me?

P.S. When i look at the download/upload results (when testing your internet connection) on the PS3 it says 5 MB/s for both the download/upload.

I also tried the steps mentioned in the other post about this problem.

My Wi-Fi's international download speed is 8MB, although its download speed is awful too. In fact, I've had problems with my download speed during certain hours, which is quite weird, considering the fact that sometimes its download rate is 1MB/s; while during those "slow hours" it barely manages to download 1MB each minute. I don't know what the problem may be, but it certainly worries me, because the Battlefield 3 Beta is approaching, and I won't like dealing with my crappy download speed

Well your "Slow Hours" may just be caused by to many people using your ISP at the same time..but im not sure..but i hope i can find a fix to this problem cause its really annoying

I also found out that the problem is not caused by the PS3 because i tested the download speed at my friends house (who has an internet slower then mine) and downloaded at 1MB/s

When using my ISP i download about 1MB every 10-15 seconds

I've had this before... but i fixed it by manually inputing the IPs in the network settings (Ps3 end), i got 5Mb speed and it downloads just as fast as my PC. Also i use it wireless (having the ps3 in the next room), i have no lags and play online really well, unless when my ISP is crapping out on me.

Well there should be some tutorials around when i did it, some in gamespot's forum too i think. Took me a bit of time to get it right but worked well in the end, but since it was quite long ago i can't remember the steps very well. Before i did all this i had really crap download speed and LOTS of disconnects from PSN.

Edit: i use that cheap D-LINK DI524, was a hassle to get it running right but works :). One thing i remember is getting the router's IP and putting it into the PS3, but the last 3 numbers i had to put the ones from the IP shown under the PS3's "System information". Or maybe there it'll just show you the right IP for it, can't remember. Well hope that helps, since i'm going to sleep already, can't be bothered to look for the tutorials now T_T. Maybe PM me later and i'll look into it when i get some free time.
