Slow Playstation Store?

My Playstation Store was working fine but for a few days now it's been extremely slow. I just checked it to see if any new demos and content were added and it took about 4 minutes just to open up the menu! And right now I'm trying to download the Def Jam demo but it's extremely slow! I'm about to shut it off because I have the need to play MotorStorm right now. By the way, how come you can't play while you download stuff on the PS3 & 360? You can on a PC...

Oh, and I just switched from slow internet to high-speed internet a few days ago... Could this have anything to do with it? I have Time-Warner.

An update coming March 23 is supposbly having background downloading, so you will be able to play a game while downloading.Flame_Blade88

Mine has been really slow too, I hope it's not just a few of us and it will get cleared up when the 1.6 update arrives at the end of march.

I love my PS3, but I really hate PS store

because it disconnect my download operation all the time ... and I have to start all over all the time

Mine has been super slow as well.  Dashboard on 360 seems faster and you can play games while downloading.  Hopefully the new update will improve the Playstation Store.  burgertime

Dashboard and Store are two way different things. And I couldn't play while downloading when I owned a 360 last summer... Did they get an update or something?
