So before i drop $430 for a Playstation 3 i need to know some things....

1. Is connecting to the internet with the 40 or 80 gig like the PSP, DS, or Wii, where you search for an access point and wirelessly connect?
2. I hear on the COD4 forums that 1. The servers are f'ed in the a right now and i was wondering if and when they are gonna get fixed, also it also said that i had to adjust some stuff on my router to play online with COD4, is this true?
3. Is the PS3 really truely worth it? In every apsect? From what i've heard it is, and i'd love to own one, but i just need to make sure.

I personally havent had to change anything, the servers are kind of bad right now but they do come up and hopefully the problem will be fully fixed soon..

Yes it is, look at it this way, you can buy a sony blue ray player for 50 dollars less then an 80 gig PS3...Blue Ray is the future so thats a good start, free online, hi-def gaming, and with a bunch of good games like GTA IV, Haze, Home, Little Big Planet, Killzone, Metal Gear Solid 4, and possibly Final Fantasy XIII slated for next year 2008 is going to big an amazing year for this system

1. Yes and it's easy.

2. There get full sometimes and get sort of screwy, but they are by no means f*ed up. You do not have to forward any ports to play online COD4.

3. Yes, many of my friends in the city that I live own Xbox 360's and say that I should've gotten one so that I could play with them. But they don't understand that I use my PS3 for SOO Much more than just video gaming. I watch Blu-Ray and upscale DVDs to high def. I listen to music, and i stream tons of downloaded content from my computer to my ps3 (movies, tv shows, music, etc.). So yes in every aspect, especially with the price drop, it is definately worth it.

Two words: Gran Turismo go look at some videos on youtube, gameplay especially from in the car new camera angle, that should convince you to buy one.

1. So simple. Easier than 360, i had to set up my friends live for him and it took as a hour.

2. Servers are good, i think it was from christmas, but its as smooth as butter now.

3. I bought a ps3 around this time last year and i honestly have 0 regrets. Amazing games, i suggest uncharted and ratchet and clank for purchase.

You've convinced me to 100% sure that i want one. As soon as i get the money i'm going to best buy and getting: Warhawk, COD4, and Virtua Fighter 5. or anything else people suggests
*note* The reason i won't be getting assains creed or uncharted or even R&C is because i'll just rent them because i'd rather not drop $64 dollars for a one time thing*

Dude... you just missed a hella good sale for PS3 on sonystyl.ecom... got an 80GB with extra remote for $400 plus tax. But I had to sign up for their credit card (no biggie).

PS3 is definately worth the money. Wireless connection took a minute.

BTW: The COD4 servers on the 360 were messed up too.

Finally... ever hear of amazon.com or half.com?? Game are $20 cheaper than buying it in the stores (Assassins creed is about $38 right now for the PS3 on half.)

1) You connect the same way as those mentioned.

2)COD4 servers problems only have problems once in a while, not atm though and its not Sony's fault either way.

3)Shouldve picked up the 60gig last year but 40gig is still worth it unless BC is necessary then get the 80gig

1. Yes and you can also used a wired connection if you like.

2. The servers are kinda messed up for some people, but knowning infinity ward they will fix it real soon. It's just the wait for sony to approve the patch that kinda gets to people.

3.Yes its worth it, it has a blu ray player which you haven't heard is winning the format war. It has games like mgs4, final fantasy 13/versus, white knight story, lbp, infamous, and much much more. The ps3 has begun to even outsell the xbox 360 worldwide and only lost to the wii by 100,000 this week in Europe which clearly shows that the ps3 is gaining popularity. Not only is the internet free but when home comes out you will get trophies for completing games, have a apartment to have friends over on a virtual life, kinda like the sims. Developers are finally beginning to utilize the ps3 full potential to make awesome games like uncharted drakes fortune. The exclusive list from here to the end of 2009 is a bunch and most of them are quality games not shovel ware. You can't go wrong right now with the ps3.
