so did kingdom hearts dissappear?

square enix hasnt even tryed to realeaseany of the titles that they have been working on for years i just want to know why

If they aren't planning on releasing KH3 any time soon then please just remake KH1 & KH2 =(

I know that Kingdom Hearts 3D takes place after the events of Kingdom Hearts 2. The story is about Sora and Riku taking an exam to become Keyblade Masters.

KH as a franchise has been hurt badly by Final Fantasy Versus XIII, plus the side-games are of mixed quality, and the prequel being on PSP caused it to get ignored by most gamers outside of Japan.MAILER_DAEMON

Well it's been confirmed that they're in the "staging" progress of Kingdom Hearts 3. And they were thinking of doing a Kingdom Hearts HD Collection for the PS3.

Because the Kingdom hearts team is working on Versus 13. trust me, it will be worth it.

As I understand it, that team (or most of it) is working on Final Fantasy Versus13. I suppose after that game gets released (whenever that may be...:? ) we will begin to hear more about Kingdom Hearts 3. Amnesiac23

Got to say I never understood the appeal of Kingdom Hearts as an outsider. I'm 18, and the Disney characters and excessive and stupid ways they talk about "friendship" seemed silly in all the video reviews I watched. Just started playing Birth By Sleep, because supposedly its Kingdom Hearts 0, and I really really like it. I still dislike the Disney characters, and the friendship BS, but the gameplay is so much damn fun. I definetely see the appeal, and count me as someone who is eagerly awaiting a PS3 version of the game.

And on a side note, Versus 13 looks amazing so far.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is the last game that I bought my Playstation 3 for that still has yet to come out. God or War 3, Twisted Metal, Metal Gear Solid 4, plus Kingdom Hearts 3 were the reasons I bought Playstation 3.

So after Final Fantasy 13 I thought Square Enix would start work on Kingdom hearts 3. But Final Fantasy 13 part 2 is coming and Final Fantasy 14 is to also come out for PS3. Plus Final fantasy Versus 13 or whatever Square Enix is going to end up calling this game.

So 3 Final Fantasy games are in the works for PS3, which does mean that Kingdom Hearts 3 has dissappeared for now. Sony has promised a 10 year lifespan for PS3 so eventually KH3 will come out for PS3 in the next 5 years.

Since Sony now has the PSmove it would kinda be interesting if Square Enix and Disney could actually do a version of Mushroom Kingdom hearts (The infamous 2007 EGM) But for all intents and purposes Kingdom Hearts 3 is not happening for Playstation 3.

Square Enix will have to sort out it's Final Fantasies first then maybe Kingdom Hearts 3 will be realeased for Playstation 3. There is still 5 years to sort things out.

They're too busy making Versus XIII and countless KH handheld titles. We'll probably see three more spin-off titles before we get KH3.

I hope they release an HD collection of the games - hopefully the final mix versions.
