Others have already said it, but there's no such thing as a Halo "killer", other than Bungie themselves of course if they develop a crap one and sully the good name of the game (arguably, they did that with Halo 2 for me, but that's my opinion... I never bought 3 after that. Rented and thought it was OK but nothing special)

That said, the PS3 has plenty of titles to win people over to either buy their console exclusively or as an additional console. I owned a 360 first and then a Wii and it was only a couple of weeks ago I got my PS3 with the upcoming Little Big Planet - that's what sold the console to me. God of War III will also be another one that makes the console fly... No matter how good any PS3 game is though, it will never convert those 360 fanboys, just as no 360 game will ever convert the Sony fanboys. Well personally, I think both sets of fanboys are silly and missing on some amazing games on either platform.

most people I know do not really care for Halo, especially me.

the resistance series is probably PS3's best answer to it, until Killzone comes out, if thats any good.

nah - I wouldn't call someone who only owns one of the consoles a fanboy. I would call someone a fanboy when they own one of the consoles and INSISTS it's the best console out there when they haven't even given the others a try. THAT'S a fanboy.

It's fine to only have one console and enjoy it - it's another thing to shout and scream from the rooftops about it's master position when it's not even based on the fact that you've tried the others.

You said it. Fanboys usually can't afford to get the other consoles. There is nothing wrong with that, but that makes them have to bash other consoles to justify their purchase.

There can be genuine reasons to be a fanboy - a close friend of mine will not touch the 360 due to the problems he had with his first Xbox and getting it sorted by Microsoft. I do beleive it should get such a high score. Fair enough the graphics aren't really up to par and the campaign is very good but nothing more, it is great fun and has great replayability. Its the fun that counts right?

For some reason everytime I touch or get near an Xbox controller my hands start to burn; I start coming down with a fever and eventually start to lose fatigue.... ;)

I wouldn't mind an xbox, but dropping $400 on another console just isn't for me, especially for a couple of games in mind. The 40 or 50 dollar monthly online fee scares me away. Just doesn't feel natural in my hands like a Dual Shock 3 does if some of ya know what I mean... Plus all the lil accessories that you need is insane and will probably pay well over $600 for everything I would want and need for it.

I'm looking into purchasing a new computer, because my old built one is die slowly. I'll stick with my Playstation 3 and soon to be new computer. Sorry "xbox" ive tryed, but me no mas!! :lol:

I don't think that's right somehow... although I'm in the UK and it's slightly different, it's either £5.00 GBP a month or a years subscription card you can get for as little as £35.00 - £39.99... there's no WAY it costs $40 or $50 a month in the US, surely!?

In my opinion the Halo killer IS Halo.

By this I mean how far they're going with milking the product. Sequel after sequel they're slowly killing the franchise. A Halo movie and a Halo RTS? No thanks.
