Only doubts I had was the fighting system. Hopefully that will improve since the demo had a limited amount of folks available.

The game has been out in Japan for quite some time, the US and Asian versions of the game will only differ in the languages, i.e. English for US version, English and Chinese (selectable) for Asian version.

So expect to see the same graphics (which I felt is good enough for a PS3 RPG game) as in the demo.

BTW, if any of you have played the Japan demo version, it actually had some dialogues and cut scenes etc which for some reason were taken out in the US/EU demo. However, the US/EU demo did have more boss monsters and slightly different path :)

I had originally played the Japanese demo and wasn't very impressed but I gave the US demo a chance hoping that being able to understand the spoken dialogue would interest me more. The idea of capturing your enemie's souls and using them in battle is a novel idea but the actual gameplay felt repeitive and cheapened by the area layouts. Wandering from area to area as each spawns a collection of critters to kill quickly became quite boring.

While I like the coloring and imagination used in the graphics I didn't find the graphics themselves to be anything terribly impressive. I actually found most of the characters and enemy models to have a similar look to Enchanted Arms.

Of course this is all just my opinion and the full game might be quite a bit better than these initial areas, I just don't see myself picking this game up.

LOL youre joking right? high-dynamic range is enabled, and theres no way a ps2 could pull that off. i thought the graphics are amazing, some of the best on ps3 so far. theyre not the best, but theyre leagues better than ps2.

personally, i cant wait for this game. im gona preorder it when i go to pick up lair on friday

As you all may mor may not know, the playable demo for Folklore came out last thursday. How did you like it? I thought it looked beautiful, but the fight schemes need alot more work, also make the battles more detailed and fun. Might buy, not sure....Space_Cowboy7

i agree about the battles, the ai needs to be improved or they should be more aggressive. Though thanks to the Amazon deal im buying this game anyways ;)

It's better than PS2 graphics, but they aren't top notch either.

i personally loved this game! i love the art style, the Folks, the settings, the story (so far), the characters..pretty much EVERYTHING about it! it reminds me of a non turnbased FF game, set in the world of Pans Labrynth!! i cant wait for this gmFurbyballistik

I could not have said that any better myself!, pans labrynth is the first thing that came to mind when I played the *** demo, allthough I loved the english demo I for some reason liked the *** demo more because it showed a bit more story and non fighting interaction, like exploring etc.. Allthough couldn't understand wtf was going on lol =)

Should be a Decent game =)
