finally. lol. was a whole lot of fun, one of the longest adventure games i've played in a while thats for sure. game gets a 10/10 for me. well maybe a 9, given it was very easy.

now one thing i really wanted to do, was go back and collect everything i missed...except i think i made a mistake. at the end of the game it said Start Challenge Mode or go Back in Time to Before you Defeated Tachyon.

i chose challenge mode since it said go back with all your weapons etc. i didnt think it meant start the WHOLE game again. so now, do i have to re-do the entire story to be able to go to any planet? was i supposed to just select go back in time?

yea, you'll have to replay it all again to have access to all the planets again. However, challenge mode makes enemies a little bit tougher, and the more you kill without getting hit the bigger a multiplier you get for collecting bolts. You should also notice in the shop there are omega versions of all your weapons (at least all the ones you maxed to level 5). These basically add 5 more levels (of course each one is a bit stronger too). There's also a golden grovitron for sale at the first device vendor for a moderate 2 million raritanium.

If you just went back in time, you would not have access to any of this extra stuff.

Yeah, you'll have to replay the whole game again to get to each planet, but you still keep your acheivment points, costumes, etc. That's how every R&C game has worked.

hmm ok cool. doesnt sound too bad after all. lol a 'moderate' 2 million raritanium. haha.

ok so say i complete Challenge Mode (im real keen now since this Omega thing is out...all my weapons bar about 3 are level 5) do i then get access to all levels, with all those extra unlocks?

man i love this game, just keeps goin and goin. massive replayability.

well, once you beat Tachyon at the end of challenge mode, it will ask you again do you want to [re]start challenge mode or warp to before beating Tachyon. Here if you warp back in time, you'll still keep your weapons/items at their current levels, and all the planets stay unlocked. The only thing is the skill point for beating challenge mode stays locked (since technically if you traveled back in time, you still haven't completed challenge mode). This only stops you from having all the skill points and getting the last reward which is some concept/promotional art.

You'll get so many more bolts, given that you have a multiplier; based on how much damage you've taken. It's worth it. There's weapon upgrades too, you can buy a weapon (i.e. the new Lightning Ravenager) and it will go to level ten. :D

I got a million bolts (not exangerating) in the first level.

i'm getting this game then, probably this weekend. this and fifa 2008( definately getting this cuz i'm a soccer fan)

do you have call of duty 4 or rainbow six vegas? one more question also, is this ratchet & clank game really as 'easy' as people say it is? games r expensive man thats y i ask so many questions , to justify the price.

earlier i was trying to be convinced into buying call of duty 4 but no success @ that..they all just keep posting crap like ' ITS SO INTENSE'..they're opinion on INTENSITY may not be the same as mine. so its either RAINBOW SIX or RATCHET& CLANK:TOOLS OF DESTRUCTION

until recently i was more of a PC gamer (mostly FPS games) so I have COD4 on PC and love it, cant even imagine playing it on console. i hate playing FPS games on console. not that they are bad, i just cant use the controls and i suck at them.

with ratchet and clank...sure its easy, but its not like a total walk in the park. you still have to complete puzzles and challenges etc, like most platformer games. theres a LOT of variety in thechallenges too.when we say easy i guess we mean more towards the enemies. they arnt the most challenging AI around. i would sooo recommend you get this game though dude. hours of fun, game graphics are awesome and the story is strong and actually quite funny.

i cant recommend any shooters for PS3 sorry, i hate playing any of them on console unless they are in the 3rd person or something. just me though, PC shooter gaming has corrupted me ;)
