so i have uncharted 2 wrapped in plastic infront of me but...

i cant justify opening it and playing, cause i dont have my hd cables. yes ive had a ps3 since the first 80gig/40gig came out (i got 80) but no hdmi cables yet... i also never played the first one (just the demo and the uc2 online beta)

should i just open the game and buy the cables later... or will my experience really be awesomer with them

I haven't gamed in HD in over a year. Doesn't stop me from playing the games. Graphics and looks aren't everything.

My PS3 came with cables, I actually got extra cables I think, I also got Optical cables and HDMI.

And before you ask, yes it was bought in a shop, brand new.

I played my ps3 in SD for a good year; it didn't stop me from playing games. Play uncharted 2, and when you get HD, you will appreciate it even more.

Order your HDMI cables. As you wait for them to arrive play Uncharted1.

the game looks great in SD too. As a matter of fact, the game is only 720p so any type of didgital cable will give you the best quality. the only time you really need HDMI cables is if your trying to get 1080p. stop torchuring yourself and play the damn thing. It's stupid to pay $60 for something and not enjoy it.

Not totally true. Some people may not notice a difference while others will see a clear difference.

You can get a HDMI cable at Fry's if you have one near you for $8 for a 10'.

Unwrap it when I first got it that's what I did straight away now I'm quite addicted to it. I have a HD TV but don't have the HDMI cables yet I'm not too bothered about that.

I suggest you wait for the HDMI cables. Its going to be useless on SD.

IDK... Maybe you should wait. I played my PS3 in SD for the first couple of years the console was released. I hooked up the PS3 to the HD DLP TV in the living room and the first thing out of my mouth was "WOW"! This was for Resistance 2. After that I bought a 40" LCD for a more vivid picture and better color contrast. The difference is amazing!

So you have an HDTV, but no HDMI cables? The first thing I did when I bought my HDTV was get HDMI cables for my 360 and PS3 and Component cables for my Wii. Just because you don't have the cables though doesn't mean you shouldn't play the game. You'll still find enjoyment out of it and the graphics will still look pretty good. Don't let not having HDMI stop you from playing this game. Start it now and just get HDMI as soon as you can.

Personally, I think that you should go to Target right now, and buy a cheap HDMI cable. They all perform the same, but some are shorter than others. I got mine for 30-40 bucks.

If you can't do so right now ,play UC2. You can always go over anything you missed once you beat a chapter.

Yeah, buy the cables. You can get them cheap off Amazon or something if you're ok with buying online.

You're in a better situation then me, I've gotta send me PS3 in for repairs tommorow without even playing Uncharted 2 yet :(.
