Lol, it would cost them more than 20 dollars..... thus the massive price difference between the consoles. (also obviously due to the HDD size difference)

You know how much $20 will accumulates to? Imagine if Sony sold 1 million PS3 with b/c that will equates to 20 million dollars loss not including the loss they're already taking with including the blu-ray drive. Besides, I doubt the Emotion Engine cost Sony $20 to build. It would cost more.

Based on your post I'm going to guess that you do in fact have a Playstation 2. If this is correct, please explain why b/c (or in your case, the lack thereof) is an issue to you.
