so i just got on and saw the poll of the day...

maybe its just me, but how come everything about sony on this site is being negative. i mean, the 3 choices are fine, but the way they wrote the third choice, the BS3. if this was a poll about 360 or the Wii, nothing bad would be said at all. i mean like if they made a poll later in time talking about the PS3 passing the 360 in sells, the choices would be something like this:

1) Maybe the PS3 is actually a system that can be compared to the 360?

2) oh its just a one time thing, the 360 will catch up and dominate once again!

3) It's a lie, $ONY paid to have their name put in front. Microsoft pawns all!!!!111!!

ok maybe its a lil over the edge, buts its just how i feel. Gamespot always turns anything positive about SONY into a negative. just wanted to throw this up there. peace.

CNET has a massive advertising agreement with Microsoft, even giving Vista top marks, and calling it the future of home computing,
since Gamespot is owned by a company that has known ties to Microsoft, of course all polls/opinions/game reviews/etc will be slanted towards Xbox supremacy, it's not true of course, problem is that gamespot has the most active forums, so, we're stuck here.

sonys to blame for all this....if they were so damn arrogant and actually put more thought and planning in to the systems launch....they could have had a killer system on their hands...think back to before the 360 launched....everyone was pro ps3 and felt that microsoft would inevitably lose despite releasing their system a year earlier......and sony got soo full of themselves and thought that people would buy their system based off of spec....they need to focus on getting exclusives out at the right time if they want to win the console warBigchips

I don't think that's true at all. Sony knows the feeling that PS3 had at launch. PS2 did the same thing. PS2 wasn't an immediate success, in fact, PS3s have sold at a faster rate early on than the PS2 did. Sony has huge growth over time. The launch wasn't that terrible in my opinion, it was the one year gaming drought that followed that killed it for a long time. But it's 2008, and Sony has been preparing for this. 2008 might very well be a bigger gaming year than 1998 (if only Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy XIII and God of War 3 were confirmed for this year =[)

Still, I don't think Sony just got arrogant. Building up a system does take time, and Microsoft seemed to handle it better initially, but that should fall apart this year. The only 360 games I want this year so far are Lost Odyssey, Too Human and there's one other that I for some reason can't think of.

No kidding, anyone posts anything positive about Ps3 or Wii on System Wars and it's closed,
anyone posts anything INSULTING the heck outta ps3/wii and complimenting the 360,
and it remains open forever.

Plus, the mods themselves in System Wars compliment the 360, system wars is pathetic,

I hate when i look at what platforms that game is coming out for,and the first platform they list is: 360. I cant stand that for some reason,i dont know what it is,i guess im scared maybe they made that version better than the others,because they might be fanboys. i notice that if the games on the top 10 list are avaiable on both consoles (360 and PS3) the 360 version is always the on list ahead of the ps3 version. just lil annoying things that i thought went unnoticed.ShadowBass989

yeah. I visit another site which microsoft contributes to,and the top 4 arenas of the 5 are all 360 games. #1 being Cod4 for 360. So i went to go look,turns out Cod4 on PS3 had more teams/players and the forum was way more active,and Cod4 on PS3 was ranked 4th when it should have obviously been #1. Im sure microsofts contributes had something to do with it. Ticks me off.

yeah i completley understand what u mean. i see what u r talking bout as well. i mean i havent looked up which version is more popular, but on the PS3 leaderboards when i play online, theres is over 800 thousand names. i dunno how many 360 people play it. yeah and they said that SONY was too rich for themselfs. i find it funny that they dont advertise as much as microsoft and they r catching up. slowly but surely.

i agree completly. its like i wrote. i like my ps3 more than my Wii, but personally i feel that if u have a bunch on friends that come over a bunch and u all enjoy just playing games, then the Wii is perfect. i dont have friends that come over everyday to play games. i just dont touch my Wii that much. lol that sounded dirty. as i wrote earlier, if i can find a good deal on a 360, ill get it to play bioshock and dead rising.

yes, i think that the online being free on sonys console is a huge plus. i seriously hope that they dont take that away. rechargable controllers r very nice. afet an expensive system, batteries can be a bit too much. i still firmly believe that when the new systems come out (PS4 XBox 720 (i guess) and the Nintendo Anus (had to do it)) that the PS3 will have sold more than the 360. More than the Wii. I still firmly believe that the Wii is a fad. but thats my opinion.

yeah the forums and the news updates r really the only reasons i come here. this site would be better if they biased the other 2 consoles a little more. and when sony has good news not point out a negative about it.

Well if they think they are trying to fool anyone they are dearly mistaken....A few years ago this site was amazing, possibly number 1 for gaming but now they are just going down hill....When our big titles start coming out then we'll really get where this site is, uncharted got like high 80s and some 90s from everyother site and 8.0 here, well see what they give MSG4, Killzone, Resistance 2, FFXIII, then we'll really see...

yeah thats exactly how i feel. when the bigger name games come out, we will see how they score them. i mean, x play gave resistance a 5 out of 5. gameinformer was like what, 9.5. i cant member. so we will see then how this site turns out.
