So im doing the quest, How Little We Know.. and im at the part where i have too talk to Cachino about suspicious Omerta activites. This isn't the problem, i'd have no problem completeing this quest BUT.. ..i 'accidently'? lockpicked a very easy door, and a Omerta Thug saw me do this.. Now he is hostile to me.. ...but the thing is, they are all friendly'ish' towards me until i go near the Thug who saw me unlock this door... Then after i run into this guy, he starts shooting at me and Boone and Rex (my dog) will attack him, kill him then move too Tokkie and kill him! Then i fail the quest.. I cant seem to make this guy not hate me, and ive tried everything.. i went out of town for a WEEK and he still hates me.. i dont know what else to do because i dont have any other save files now :S Someone PLEASE tell me how to make him not hate me anymore :-( because i dont want too fail this Quest! AND i dont want too restart the whole game again because of one stupid door!! i hope its not a bug.. please, hold back the trolls :-D :-3
Yeah if u can't fix it by completely changing ur outfit then I would like sneak kill him and deff make sure no one see u do it. Save before u. Proceed.
Well, i got past the dude, and he didnt go hostile with me... ...until i was 1 quest away from finishing, then he went hostile and stated calling his possie too come kill me, including all the quest guys. So i cleared out the Strip ... and failed the quest. BOO-HOO WASTE OF 3 HOURS but ah well :'(.. Cheers for all the comments
Get some good reputation on the strip. Do quests and in general help around. Make sure you get to liked or accepted reputation and then try the quest again.
I would recommend starting the quest at the Ultra Luxe it should help gain some rep with the strip.
No i didn't, but its far too late now :(.. on my next run through - kinda want all the trophies, ill take more care. That failed quest ruined a lot of stuff for me >.
maybe give it some time and come back after a few days sometimes that can help

That should do it but this does sound like a bug because OP said it was just that one guy who goes ballistic.
It wouldn't be surprising, add it to the really really long list of technical problems this game has.
What door is the guy by exactly?
It may be possible to finish the quest by sneaking around him. If you have a low sneak skill try a stealth boy.
It was the guy literally just before where you hand in the quest too the 'black' guy, who's dealing drugs. Excuse my lag of explanation, its been a long time since i was at it, but there is a Omerta Thug, stood just left (looking straight on) too a door which is locked, and marked *easy* for lockpicking - it was this dude I don't think there was a way too sneak past him.. But im gonna make a very strong letter too Obsidium, or whoever.. Its silly.. It practically did ruin my game! :O gasp!
