So if you get a 3G model do you HAVE to use the 3G on it?

I'm curious. I personally don't see a need for it seeing as I could just use my phone since I have unlimited data on it but is it active from the moment you turn it on until the month expires?

I dont have a Vita, but from a video I've seen on youtube you have to actually activate your account in order to get 3G. And as of right now you cant just use another simcard and get 3G from it. The vita is able to receive text messages oddly enough if you put your sim from your phone.
