PS3 essentials= MGS4, UNCHARTED, RESISTANCE 2 (for mp action), LBP, and of course STREET FIGHTER 4!!!!!!!

Well if you want an online game that will last A LONG time i suggest Socom (you also get a really good mic) and then i suppose MGS (if you like the series) then finally get SF4....so you have a nice little variety going on :)

learn to use this for these kind of questions... "The PS3 Recommendations Thread-What game should I get?" so that you won't get locked... Games: MGS 4, Uncharted, Motorstorm: PR, Valkyria Chronicles, Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, Call of Duty 4 & World at war, etc... also save some money for Killzone 2.
