I have been procrastinating with Demon's Souls (it is an excellent game I've just been distracted by other games)
Excuse #1: bought Just Cause 2 and want to get 100% on everything. I'm about 80% + doneafter finishing thegame.
Excuse #2: I'm still playing Mass Effect 2
Excuse #3: Facebook apps are distracting
Excuse #4: oh look-L.A. Noire (I've been waiting for that one since it was announced) and it's awesome.
No more excuses.I will be getting Dark Souls, but won't play it until I complete Demon's Souls.
Ohhh haha, yeah man it is stupidly incredibly hard. But not like cheap hard where you feel ripped off because the enemy/enemies have gained some super buff while you have been debuffed. It's difficult in an unforgiving kind of way. Make a mistake; pay for it. Dearly. Hah. It's one of the things I loved about it.I was on the verge of buying Demo Souls not so long ago but decided I would rather keep my TV.

indeed, this, but you learn from it. if you're patient and cautious and pay attention you can usually scrape by most situations with the skin of your teeth. if you do die you end up learning and after a little while it doesn't really feel cheap. if you get pegged by an enemy you usually think "well i should've dodged/blocked that shot"
It looks awesome... but if there's still no voice chat, and still no way to block invaders online in live / body / whatever it's called form (so that i can enjoy co-op uninterrupted), then i might just pass it up. i already played demon's souls anyway.
Well yeah I mean what's exciting for me is that it looks so similar to Demons Souls. Like San_09 said; it screams Demons Souls 2. Right now I just want to hear more about it. Also, I'm not disappointed it's not an exclusive. Share the love man, good games are good games regardless. Lol. Jerryismyname
..Exactly.
Besides, awesome games like Demon Souls deserve more sales, so it makes perfect sense to be multiplatform.
I really do agree with you on voice chat; it's already a mature rated game so language wouldn't be an issue, they would just need to implement a way to report harassment to avoid becoming a troll paradise. I don't believe they'll ever allow you to summon allies without the risk of being invaded though. That's part of their whole risk/reward thing. It looks awesome... but if there's still no voice chat, and still no way to block invaders online in live / body / whatever it's called form (so that i can enjoy co-op uninterrupted), then i might just pass it up. i already played demon's souls anyway.

From what I understand it basically is Demon's Souls 2. They're calling it a "Spiritual Successor." It doesn't follow the same storyline so it needs a different name I guess? I don't know. I'll be happy regardless of what the deal with the name is.Deifnitely THE PS3 game I'm looking forward to the most atm..
The new gameplay footage screams ''DEMONS SOULS 2'', but nvm that, it looks awesome!

It looks like a rehash of Demon's Souls. I loved Demon's Souls but I really felt like it was a game that shouldn't have a sequel.
Got a feeling it just won't feel the same, I'm looking forward to it, but I'm sort of doubtful, will wait for reviews.
I wan Demons2.But i'll be getting Dark aswell its just Dark is tooo similar to Demons.Demons brought lots of new stuff to the table,Dark will be well short of what it will offerRatchet_Fan8Demon's Souls didn't bring too much to the table except the nexus and bloodstain/ soul collecting ideas. From Software has been making first-person dungeon crawlers since '94 with King's Field and similar games like Shadow Tower and Eternal Ring. Demon's Souls is basically a faster-paced, third-person version of their tried-and-true formula. Dark Souls takes that formula to an open-world setting.
