People wanted AFRIKA and Sony gave it to them.

It's not like the other systems have garbage truck loads of quality games. This is only the beginning of the generation.

Why can't you be happy with Resistance, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, and Oblivion (not to mention the other games)?

And heck, Rachet, Uncharted, Haze, UTIII, Orangebox and many others are coming out, what is there to whine about?

Resistance is a horrible game. Warhawk is so, so, and heavenly sword is beat in 1-2 days and you don't want to play it again. Oblivion...ben there done that on 360.

Ps3 needs more quality releases, because they really have none OTHER than heavenly sword and oblivion.

warhawk is a great online game. Bear in mind it score was for a game with NO single player - and GS stil called it 'great'. I personally don't see the big deal about R:FoM, but its not horrible and discounting oblivion for that reason is only valid if its in a console war situation. This is not.

1. Resistance if fine, nothing amazing-sauce, but it was solid story wise,online wise, and pretty much every reviewer disagrees with you.

2. Warhawk is amazing. There's absolutely NO point to the game, except to have FUN. Yeah all the talk from the other side about how Sony should focus on fun games and not graphics blah blah blah. Warhawk is flat out intense fun...and me and my friends play it hours and hours at a time.

3. Heavenly Sword's greatness cannot be diminished by the play length. This is exactly what flipped up the red flag for me when it came to you post. Let's list other 6 hour games: Gears of War, Metal Gear Solid, Halo 2, any Devil May Cry game (a friend did a 1 hour speed run of DMC3), Tomb Raider Legend, I can go on and on....6 hours doesn't matter if the six hours are good. I have 2 friends who own HS and are replaying it on hard, and it's taking them longer than 6 for sure.

4. Oblivion...PC version kills the 360 version, because you can take vacations during the 360s load times, and with a game well over 100 hours of gameplay, you'll be lucky if your 360 doesn't brick first. Oh and the visuals, solid framerate, and load times are all significantly better on PS3. Fanboy bias aside, for anyone who didn't buy a BrickBox 360, and has a cheap PC, Oblivion was nice for PS3 gamers to finally be able to experience. For future reference, don't ever say OMG I ALREDY PLAAAYED IT ON 360, because some people don't own one, so that point is worthless.

The best year for Playstation was 97-98 = FFVII and MGS, but pretty much every year of the PS2's life was almost as great.

lol I really hope the announcement wasn't a controller function that they had right off the bat LAST GEN...

I do enjoy my PS3 though, and I am stoked for LBP and Home when it debuts

This one doesn't even come close to dumbest ever. Maybe, maybe, dumbest in this forum. But nothing will ever come close to the person that said that computers can't do HD resolutions. That will never be topped!
