So what exactly can I do with 30 days of Playstation Plus?

I read the article that we're getting 30 days of Playstation Plus because of the outage... Will this activate whenever Sony puts it up, or do we choose when to activate our 30 days? I'm worried that I won't know when my PS Plus becomes activated and I'll just not touch my Playstation while my 30 days are going by! :P

So what exactly can I do with the PS Plus? I know I can download demos and stuff, but what else? I wanna make the most of it! :)

Here is my question: Sony says they will give us 30 days of PSN+ when the network comes back up. Then at the end of the article it says the PSN store wont be up till later this month......um PSN+ is pointless with out the store, for me PSN+ was pointless anyway the discounts arent worth the price, the game save option is good but not worth 50.00 a year. So for those who actually want PSN+ does this mean Sony wont offer the free 30 days till the stores up or what?

And... I've never had PSN+, it might be a stpd question... but Ive heard about that, some games are full game trials or something like that.... or free trial of full game... i dont quite remember.... but..
What does that mean? Can I get trophies then? And Can I play a full version of the game? for a limited time or what?

Free games, themes, avatars, expansions, etc. For a MONTH.

You don't lose everything when it ends. You get to keep Avatars, and Themes. The only thing you lose is Games.

Well, sadly (or not, opinions might differ) a considerable amount of users all over the internet and online services are 12 years old. :P

Hmmm so whatever i buy that is discounted i get to keep it but if its free and when my 30 days are up its gone. I will have to keep more of an eye on this to see if i should end up getting ps+ or not.

I also want to know if PS+ is activated soon as PSN comes back on? ETA of PSN return is Tuesday but I'll leave Friday for almost a month & I don't like the idea of being screwed out an incentive..

I don't know, I think giving everyone 30 days free of PSN Plus is more of an advertising pitch with their Plus service than anything else. I have afriend that has plus, but after 3 months cancelled it, he lost all the free games included with the service as well as the avatars he downloaded. So in a way, they are giving you Plus with a few free games, but if you want to keep those games, you've got to pay for the service. This may force some gamers to purchase Plus, which seems more like a money grab/advertisementpitch.

I do think its nice they are giving subscribers to Plus already a free month due to lost access.

But I considering many people have had to change credit card accounts and take action to protect themselves agianst fraud because of this, I don't think its enough.

I'd rather have them pay for the year of a credit montioring service I am going to buy since my information got havked rather than this Plus promotion garbage.
