Probably on an old RCA tube tv that 's over 20 years old. I hope it dies so I can get a flat screen.

If you can't afford a new TV no point in getting a PS4.
I got a 53 inch Panasonic 1080p plasma.
Had it for about 5 years now with no problems. Great for gaming.
I might get something newer after christmas.

I doubt you'll need to considering next gen consoles will be chugging along just fine at 1080P.
Unless you just really want to watch some 4k movies.
I think I am going to be getting one of those Samsung Smart TVs so hopefully on that. This sounds like an arrogant statement, but I can't believe there are people that play video games on a current generation console i.e. 360 and PS3 using a standard definition TV. Picture wise it is really night and day and playing games that were meant to be played in HD on a regular TV or without an HDMI cable hurts my eyes.
If you're going that big I highly recommend one of the Samsung plasmas. If you don't care about Smart functionality and whatnot then the regular set should run you at $700. It's a great investment (I know I'm starting to sound like a sale rep :P)The biggest set we can afford. Since our next tv will be with us for the next 10-12 years, it'll have to be reasonably future proof. 50+ inches, 120hz, 3+ hdmi/usb ports. Until such time, my 24in monitor is more than sufficient for my gaming needs.

Right now I'm gaming on an E3D420VX Vizio 42' 3D Smart TV it is 120 Hz but it has a 60 Hz gaming mode so there's no lag, I picked it up for somewhere around $500-$600 and I love it. Right now it's on sale at Vizio for $440 with free shipping, thats such a great deal it makes me want to get another one.
I've got a 55" Samsung. LED 1080p 120hz I've found that the big deal is the refresh rate. Samsung has the clear motion technology thing which doubles the refresh rate and is a good thing to have otherwise movement can get kinda choppy.
Does 60z vs 120 hz even really matter for gaming on a TV? I've read that it can make a difference for PC monitors, but on a TV where the framerate in games is often 30 fps and rarely over 60 fps, I've read that 60 hz is all you really need... anyone know?
I've been looking at 1080p TVs (my current one is only 720p) for next gen and there's this Vizio I've been eyeing that says it's also 120hz... is this something I even need to consider?

The higher the refresh rate the less screen tearing you will get (for gaming on a TV you won't notice much of a difference, if any at all). If you value 3D gaming/movies then 120hz is what you will want to shoot for. Otherwise 60hz will more than do the job.

Thanks for the reply! I was just wondering because I was comparing the Vizio with an LG TV that was a bit cheaper and seemed to have better picture quality, but was only 60hz compared to the Vizio's 120.Â

Your question had me wondering, so I've been searching the web and it is a vary debated subject. It seems most people say 60hz is fine for the PS3, but if you use 3D then 120hz is best. Then some people say 120hz produces lag, while others say it doesn't. I think what produces lag on most of these TVs are the special filters they have, as an example my TV has smooth motion effect, real cinema mode, film mode, ext., when these modes are turned on they take a small amount of time to process the video, which can lead to lag. Also, when I play games with the game mode on, it seems to make some games just a little smother, I don't know if it's a tiny bit less lag or what, but it is a little better. In the end I would chose a 120hz TV that has a game mode, this way you have all bases covered.Â
Will be playing on my 60in LED TV for single player games only problem i've had with it, is because it was a cheap tv, that the online functions used to freeze because of the size of the TV i'm still not sure whether or not that was just the ps3 which just couldn't cope with online at that size of tv or not, i'm not sure but will see, otherwise i have a top of the range 42in in my other room.

Game mode is the biggest con TV manufacturers want you to believe, go ask any expert or enthusiast TV forums, its make-believe, doesn't do a damn thing.

Plus didn't you even read the post you were responding to? I already said my TV has it, and it works.
Or are you just trying to feel better about a bad purchase you made?
If you read the links you will also find that some TVs game modes work better then others, which really just seems like common sense.
So please stop trying to troll, if you want to be taken seriously then bring facts, evidence or at least a skeptical opinion.
Keep in mind that next gen consoles will be 60 fps
DaRq_MiNoS
No, they won't. At least not the majority of games. Maybe in a few years, but I still doubt. 1080p, 30FPS will be the majority.

LMAO, I made one of the worst TV purchases? I'm literally laughing so hard right now, there's only 3-4 TV's better than the Kuro as of August 2013 (Panny ZT/VT60 and Samsung's PNF8000), enjoy your crappy Vizio or LG or whatever you have.
Also, I said enthusiast forums, those are all gaming forums.
riiiiiiight *rolls eyes*[QUOTE="Geminon"][QUOTE="GTR12"]
Kuro until Panasonic brings their 80" 4k.
