Sony did (i own a 360, sig as proof, so no fanboyism here).
Nintendo showed me that they are going to more casual route, which does not suit me as a regular gamer. (announcement of Mario Kart was nice though)
MS showed me why i should own a next-gen console.
but Sony showed me why i should specifically own a PS3 console. MS's conference was too 3rd party multiplatform focused (a lot of Rock Band and Call of Duty 4... not that much Halo 3 and Mass Effect). but Sony showed exclusive games like Warhawk, Killzone, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, and SOCOM.
asking this in ps3 forum... hmmm

^ ya, but to answer the question: sony, microsoft, nintendo
Sony: had the most to prove and delivered. Beginning with a price cut of the 60 gb followed by a number of great announcements. Haze and UT3 timed exclusives. Working with NCSoft and Epic on more exclusive titles. MGS4 exclusive. All the first party exclusives. Killzone delivering on graphical promise, as well has having great gameplay. PSN games (echochrome, little big planet, wipeout hd, warhawk, socom confrontation, etc.) Home. Also the psp upgdate along with a bunch of exclusives, and still selling ps2 games. I think sony did a good job of showing people why they should buy the console, showing a number of great games coming out now and in the future including new ips and classic games that are system sellers. Also being a little more humble helped.
Microsoft: To me showed a lot. Although the conference was boring because no real news, they showed off all teh great titles that will be out in 2007, but nothing for the future. If i owned a 360 I would not only be worried about whether or not mine would break, but future content, I know there are some big titles coming, but not seeing anything on it is a little disappointing. They arguable have the best 07 lineup, but i mean the biggest game they have halo, will be out in 07 and never have another version released again. I think they did well but didn't create any momentum or excitement for the future of the system...but the line-up for 07 looks good Halo 3, mass effect, bio shock...the other problem was these being the only exclusives. Plus Moore seemed really arrogant IMO
Ninetendo: If you are a parent who watches good morning america or today, they probably wowed you. Announcements of mario kart, mario galaxy, metroid, and super smash bros brawl are great. Having more third party support is great. The wii fit looks like it could potentially have some sort of use, dont really know what. But for real gamers nintendo really abandoned them and I feel bored with the Wii already, it seems like a gimick to me that has worn off. It is fun to play like once a month at someone elses house for me. However, for their new target teh casual gamer, an adult with a family and real job, it is great..has family friendly titles, is inexpensive and has titles you can pick up for an hour and have a complete gaming exerpience, such as wii sports. So great if that is your thing, but for anyone who is accustom to the previous gen of gaming a bit disappointing.
A little bit on the console wars I dont even consider the Wii a competitor of the 360 and playstation 3...It may sell more units than the ps3, but I feel like hardcore gamers that just own a wii will eventually get a 360 or ps3 with price drops adn more games coming out...they will want that classic gaming feel and the better graphics, especially as hdtvs come out...Also with a more casual gamer they will spend less on games, as an adult only plays them everyonce and a while and are probably fine with 3-5 games in their entire library. So I think third parties might be attracted by a large install base, but not necessarily have amazing software sales, especially constidering the install base. IMO the only real console wars are between the 360 and ps3.
