It is a AAA tittle. There are many other websites that rate better than this one. I stopped paying attention to GS reviews when they started the 0.5 bullsh**. And even in their review the words don't match the numbers, he keeps saying how good the game is and then gives the lousy score.
I don't pay much attention to scores, but this time they really screwed up.
i actually agreed with most of the points hemade in the review, but he did blow a lot of the problems out of proportion. the game is by no means perfect as some have been making it out to be but it deserved a higher score from gamespot. overall its no biggy, it wont stop anyone buying the game it will only give lemmings something to use in system wars

Agreed just some people who take the word of GS as gospel might be mislead and not get the game. Plus, it gives people another excuse to maybe miss out on the PS3, seeing it get bad reviews alot of the time. This leads to a decrease in the money circulating around for PS3 development and thus we get crappy ports all the time.
Dude forget gs for rating, its all bs xbots... Go to ign or GT, they gave over 9.0 to R&C...But i prefer realy ign cuz its reviews for all, and not just consoles...Gt comes close tho...

mayb that will change your mind about it being entirely gamespot. i just think he doesnt like video games, highest rating is 8.5 for nba 2k8. his average rating is like around 6.

Knowing the buffoons making the reviews in this site they will get probably a 7.9 ,enough to say "hey its not a bad score " but also to bash it and leave clear that theres nothing as FPS in a MS home-made machine as game experience ....
GS is turning fast into a comic site that is cited in other blogs and forums as "that site that put Ratchet a 7.5 ,Zelda a 8.8 ,MGS3 a 8.7 and complained like crybabies about DMC3 because "it was too hard " " ...

Not only are they locking threads on this subject they're deleting them all together.
I posted on one about 10 mins ago. I went to read it again because there where 3 new posts since I last posted. When I clicked on it I got an error message saying I didn't have access to the board and now it's dissapeared all together.

Yeah and all the real threads were being buried. Ah I remember my friend Symphony's thread was there and then 30 seconds later it was like on the third page and he had to keep refreshing it.:lol:
I'm going to be very plain, there is no possible way that R&C TOD is a 7.5,but I am not going to say the B word, because its sure to get me banned.
Lets just say, if this were a democracy with free speech, (and it definitelyis NOT) there would be riots in the streets.
Rather than complaining and griping about how horrible life is because of the "fair" rating Gamespot gave R&C TOD, I'm going to post some of the ratings from other prominent gaming affiliates. :)
Will these threads just shrivel and die already? Gamespot has always been notoriously hard on games. If the score has anything to do with PS3, it's that the system is more powerful than 360 and Sony has promised so much that its games are held to a higher standard. The game is not terrible, but it doesn't take advantage of the PS3 beyond a nice artistic direction and a few shots with the SixAxis! A 7.5 means good, which is what the game looks like. Did we really think R&C was going to be revolutionary? PS3 has so much better coming up that I find it funny how everyone is hung up on a platformer (a dying genre anyway).

MGS4 is definitely a 4.5. since it doesnt have multiplayer and Snake's guns are not big enough.
Killzone might get a 9 if they have three lvl of challenges : legendary, normal, easy. and probly throw in some ''cool" gadegets and vehicles (like bicycles)
I personally expected a higher score. I saw the review on IGN and another sitelike a day before it came out on Gamespot and saw only positive feedback. I haven't played it yet so I don't want to blast gamespot for a 7.5, but even so 7.5 is a lot lower than what everyone else was giving itso it seems somethingmight be fishy. Honestly this was kinda the trend last generation with xbox games. I'm not going to name specifics but there were a couple exclusives that I thought deserved a higher score when the PS2 was really hot. Seems right now things are pretty much the same except this time it is with Sony. I hope gamespot is wronge and this game is better than they say because I've been looking forward to playing it.
Gamespot is not hard on games. They're hard on PS3 games. Now, about this specific score, I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Reviews do matter. No they shouldn't sculpt peoples' opinions about games, but it's been proven that they have a massive impact on game sales. Sales numbers play a large part in determining whether games will have sequels or follow-up support. Take Lair as an example. That game probably won't get a sequel or any downloadable content even though Factor 5 had plans in the works. The reason is that it was slammed too hard by reviewers. So they don't make the game good or bad, but they do strongly affect sales, which affect franchises, which affect what we as gamers get to play. This random 7.5 means much more than just those two numbers.
The only way for this theory...hypothesis....to pull through will be for every game for the PS3 exclusives (Please don't mention Sigma.) to fall under 9s after a long line of hypercrisy. We don't have that right now.

why even look at reviews if that's your attitude? Look, it's obvious you don't care what a game gets in a score but others do. The biggest reason is so we can go brag over on SW. Really, I use about three sites to guide me on whether or not I'll buy a game so a bad GS score DOES NOT make or break my decision on whether I'll buy a game. BUT, when the disparity between a GS score and the other sites is 2 points or more....yeah, something's wrong.

Well there is another site that gave the game an 8.0. Even another site that gave the game a 7.5. But those sites were just really pissed off that the game didn't have multiplayer. (probably dropped the score and entire point) Gamespot on the other hand is literally the only site that scored the game low because they simply didn't like the game that much :\
