So, will MGS4 get a huge hype like Halo 3!?

You guys think that MGS4 will have such a huge hype like Halo 3 is right now? I mean, you know, the launch, the midnight release and etc.?

MGS4 should since this is a game that will conclude it's story which has lasted 20 years!

Should Sony increase it's hype? Yes.

Halo is on a diff level, just like World of Warcraft.

Even non-gamers recognize their names.

The next game to get "halo" hype will be the WOW sequal.

A bad thing? No. This way people can't throw around the "It disappointed me. Overhyped." excuse

it doesnt need any hype, all those familiar with the series already know its gonna be a kick ass game,

it wont be as hyped as halo 3. but when it comes out it will deffinately be the most hyped ps3 game we have seen so far.its all about marketing. if sony wants it bad enough they need to hire bungies/microsofts marketing group to market Metal Gear Solid 4 the way halo 3 has been marketed. sure, the halo ads have gotten annoying as hell but even i, a ps3 fan want to get a 360 and halo 3 because of all the hype. good marketing does work. metal gear being my fav series ever deserves the halo hype, probably a lot more than halo deserves the halo hype.

it's the same (gameplay wise), but ppl are buying it to find out how it ends.

i hope its hype isnt as bad as halos

1. mgs4 is actually a good game

2. sony isnt betting its entire console on this game

3. they wont make mgs4 themed mountain dew, card games, meals at fast food places, nothing like that.

Halo is a cultural phenomenon, mgs4 won't match it. Abc/nbc/cnn/other local news station are covering its release as i'm typing this. Sorry but sony can't do one thing about it, just wait for the storm to pass and hope halo3 was the last incarnation of the series (besides halo wars). Yes, then lets add fantastic new features to the multiplayer, update the graphics by a large margin, finish an epic story, and give players an innovative map editor which will provide gamers with years of enjoyment. Halo is a great game.
