If you have an old PS2 component cable, that'll work too. You can get very cheap HDMI cables including shipping from monoprice.com that work just fine.
Dont buy the hdmi cable at best buy or a major store. They charge like 300% more for it. Online like at newegg.com, I got 3 hdmi cables with so called gold-plating for 6.99 each on sale. monoprice.com or bluejeancables.com my favorite places to go to for cables. the brand of cable shouldnt matter unless the cable is like more than 15feet.
in my case on my hdtv (sharp aquos), the system wouldnt allow me to do full hd with the component (man was I mad), so I had to use the 60 elite hdmi cable (had just bought the ps components, lol) for both the x360 and my ps3, until yesterday when I got a new hdmi cable

If you're buying a cheap HDMI, everything is the same unless the cable is more than 6ft. Don't buy a cheap HDMI that is longer than 6ft, the quality guys down.
