Im a REALLY REALLY REALLY BIG fan of the previous socom's for the ps2 and i was wondering is SOCOM: CONFRONTATION worth buying. I am fully aware that it has ONLINE only and im okay with that but does having absolutly no single player take away the fun. And how are the weapons, player costomization, and is there a ranking system? Thanks alot!

well i baught this game played it a few time and baught killzone 2 and never played this again im seeling it now for 20 $ so if u like it itsa good game get it

Waepons a lot of variety and a extra gun depending on where your where your clan is from ( US, France etc.) A lot of clothes same thing with the clan thing you get more depending on where your clan is from. You start with 3 body armors if your in clan you get 3 more depending on which you pick they all look different but you will always get 3 armors. As for the ranking system (only if your in clan) and it takes a while to rank up. *Hope I Helped*

No. SOCOM is mostly about the online so no real SOCOM fans have missed it. The weapons and player customization is extensive in SOCOM, one of the largest in an online game, and it's one of the best parts of the game. There is a ranking system also.

Its a really good game. A lot of people report lag issues where they break up on the mic or they get disconnected from a game, etc. I've only experienced that a few times. Another thing that worries me about this game is that it is possibly messing up my PS3. When the game freezes or lags out, the PS3 doesn't know how to handle it and instead of just quitting to the XMB, it restarts itself. That can't be good for the system. To me, it seems that Slant6 (the company that made this SOCOM) rushed it through development with the intent of fixing any issues with downloadable updates. It's just not as polished as it could have been and rightfully should have been. Graphically, they did a pretty good job, but the game play could've been improved on more. Anyway, if you look past these flaws, its a pretty good game. If you;re a SOCOM fan, you'll have fun.
