Use this thread to report any issues you are having with Socom. Sometimes when i play Socom, I try to leave a game and then my ps3 gets a black screen and restarts. Sometimes I enter a game and then I stay in spectator mode even though I respawn. And today it just froze and i had to hard reboot my ps3 (turn off the switch in the back). I'm not even going to mention the server issues since they have been fixed. Even with all of this, It is still an amazing game, but it would be so much better if these problems were fixed.
yea i had freezing problems to happened 2 times btw are u supposed to take the ps3 off from the back when it freezes or hold the power button?chrisp003
You are supposed to hold your finger on the front power button for 5-10 seconds and it will beep three times and shut off. When I did that my ps3 stayed frozen so i just flipped the switch on the back and restarted. It seems fine but i hope i didn't mess anything up.
i got the basics like lag and freezing up but sometimes i try to respawn and i don't and then the options for spectator mode, layout and respawn disappeare and i don't respawn. pissin me off

yea thats wut i thought lol its sucks when it freezes socom is fun... when all the problems get fixed it will be so much better:D
no the servers all are messed up. can't even initialize network. even then every game i get into gets dropped....someone needs to get thier s*#t together.

Ya whats going on? Ive been trying to get in for a while and everytime i join people are talking but the game CANT start up...
i cannot see any clan invites no matter who send them to me. my friends say that it says something along the lines of "cannot find player" i can although see game invites. i just want to be in a clan so i can rank.
Socom was developed by second rate programmers. Obviously they had way too much on their plate to finish the job before the release date. Its still a fun game, but its frustrating because of the incopetence and lack of advertised features. I play it almost every day for a couple hours, but more so because of my long time clan members. I just laugh when I get killed because my run button gets stuck...When my character wont crouch or dive when I really need it to. When I think that my gun has reloaded but actually it has quit on me bacause I stepped on a tiny little rock. Or when I drop a grenade directly on top of a guy and it does nothing at all...Etc.... Those are just a few of the major issues that makes me think that Slant Six needs to go back to the drawing board and fix this 1/2 @ss game and give us the full game we all paid for.
Now, its time for the Slant Six fanboys to tell me to go play another game if I dont like it...bla bla bla... I didn't play the game for a few months (November to January) because I was waiting for the 1.3 patch to come out. I played COD WAW for all of that time and i thought COD was a really fun game on par with socom. A week after the patch came out, i downloaded it, and i realized just how terrible socom is. When compared to COD WAW; the graphics in socom are inferior, COD gameplay itself is more smooth and fun, and COD's online community is much bigger and better. I like the socom headset though, so i didn't completely waste my $60. The people who think that a patch can fix a game are wrong because the people who play socom and complain in forums are simply looking for a better game not a patch.
My Network is still not loading into socom confrontation how long will i have to wait till the game starts working online again? __________________________________________________________ COD4 10th Prestige 55 all gold but LMG. I am a long time Socom fan (have all the Socom games) and I had to stop playing this game a few months ago. I will just wait until the 1.6 update is released before even giveing it another try.
