Socom Hate?

The game was just quickly put together with little programming effort and is kind a smack in the face to the fans that followed the series.

SOCOM IS HORRIBLE VERY POORLY MADE ...IF THERE IS ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT IT AND JUST ME BEING HONEST IS THE AUDIO THATS IT ...IT REALLY SOUNDS GREAT ON MY HOME THEATER SYSTEM ...BUT I WAS SO DISSAPPOINTED THAT THE REPLAY VALUE FOR THIS GAME WAS SO HORRIBLE .....FOR 1) THE GAMEWAS RUSHED EVEN THOUGH THEY TOOK FOREVER TO COME OUT WITH THE GAME ...LOL..THAT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND... 2) THE LAGG OMFG!!! THE LAGG ENOUGH SAID ON THAT 3) CONSTANTLY GETTING KICKED OFF THE GAME AFTER MAYBE 10 MIN OR SO I MEAN WTF!! YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS THAT THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THIS GAME DID NOT FORESEE THIS PROBLEM ....COME ON NOW ...!!!! THAT IS LIKE SONY TAKING US FOR A TEST RUN WITH OUR $600 DOLLARS ONLY TO SAY HEY YOUR PLAYSTATION IS DEAD DUE TO HARDWARE FAILURE SEND US $150 MORE TO GET IT FIXED ...LMAO...YEAH SONY NICE ONE YOU GOT ME GOOD .....THE BOTTOM LINE TO WHAT I AM SAYING IS ME AS A CONSUMER WHEN I PLAYED THIS GAME I FELT AS IF I WAS ROBBED, CHEATED, AND LIED TO !!! The only gripes I have with the game are I still get lag, disconnected, and plenty of douchebags who think it is alright to kick someone every 10 minutes or so. The game itself is fine though. Plus, the headset is great. jfcundiff

I think the lag is on your end, as I have played it tons and never experienced lag at all. When I first picked up Madden 07 for my PS3 my internet wouldn't connect to the server. Then about 6 months later it started connecting. They changed their communications some how and it started working. I called them about it and they said they were switching things up in a while. Apparently it solved the problem, whatever it was.

If yall are getting disconnected, people warping all over the place then that is certainly on your end, and you should call your isp. Sorry but thats the facts. Yes in maybe the 16vs16 some issues can raise its head but not on a regular basis like you guys are saying. So lag is barely a issue at all in Socom now, and if any of yall complaining about it like cod:waw then I don't know what to say cause that game is full of lag, and the hit detection is just horrible, the frame rate is horrible, the host leaving is just horrible, dropped party is just horrible, so please don't even think cod waw is better cause that game is horrible. Even cod4 with its host ended game and dropped party issues make it even hard to really enjoy a game for any amount of time, but it is alot better than cod waw.

And to bring up Reviews of the game, please go and read those reviews again, most of the issues were server related and since have been fixed. Most of them did say how it was a fun game to play but the server issues was what they docked the game for. Not replay value, not gameplay, not fun factor. I think most of yall that complaining were part of the beta and have never played it since lol. Heck in the beta as bad as it was I played the same map for a month lol, how is that for replay value lol and loved it even though back then it was a 20 min wait for a match to load up lol, but now the match loads up in a min or less.

And also to compare Socom to cod is just laughable to begin with, one is a hardcore tactical shooter while the other is a noob run and gun shooter. And to laugh about the knifing in Socom and brag about knifing in cod a game where you can be 5 feet away with someone shooting you in the face and you still get the knife kill is just crazy. Socom isn't about running by someone and knifing them and I'm sure you found out when trying to do that lol, but if you find that person and sneek up behind him, it will drop him in a very nice quiet fashion :)

If your not good at it then thats fine but stop bashing the game for issues that have been resolved, atleast resolved to a fashion that there is other games out there that are touted as being awesome with much worse lag issues or server issues.

Man I hope you can understand. I.ve waited for that game cuz i have played the ones before..so I thought, now on the PS3 this better look better than MGS4...and just trying to imagine what playing online was gonna be like, man....i was really exited... The I got it with the official headset... the first thing that got my attention it was the problem with the servers..then i thought," every game has them, even MGO.." So i waited...the next day still nothing....the forums were full with angry owners that wanted to play.....later that day i GOT IN...just to face the ugliest lagg you can ever imagine...we were getting kicked out of all the games...and on the forums they the dev team just ask for patience.... I put the game away for a full MONTH, then i thought about trying it again, and believe me it was like playing MGS1 on the PS1....alot of ppl trash me out for posting in the forums that the games wasn't 1080i as they promise..... They told me to run it on 720 and then it will look sharper.....and it didn't....it only made things way worse..... so i just trade the damn thing out.... and got only 10 bucks for 60 that I payed.... This is just my opinion.....i know some ppl may think that was the best socom game ever made....but it wasn't enough for me....Evildude683
