Socom Vs. Dead Space (Poll)

Both these shooters are coming out October 14th. Personally I can only get one, but I'm wondering which one do you guys think will be better?

Personally I think Socom. Dead Space doesn't look to be anything to amazing to me.

Let me know your opinions. :D

Socom will be the best exclusive shooter on PS3 for a while, as long as it being a multiplayer only game doesn't bother you.bubnux

Personally I dont play shooters for the single player haha.

Dead Space is EA... EA is full of over-hyped games... However from what it sounds like Dead Space may be living up to expectations...

However, I've played SOCOM and it's awesome... Once they work out the kinks people won't have anything left to complain about except how they just get owned online :) eheh

never a fan of socom games. not a "tactical" shooter kinda guy

however, i am a fan of horror movies, and dead space seems like a horror movie/game. i'd go with that.

I am renting Dead Space day one , and I am thinking of purchasing Socom .... that is the type of game that could last me a few years or more. Better value buy.

yeah im surprised... think people don't understand beta's and tactical shootersmay be a dieing breed... many people want the fast pace of CoD4 and GoW now a days... I mean just a thought.. i'm sure its the case to some degree

Yeah could very well be, and from what I hear of the beta its pretty glitchy (haven't actually played). That could be turning people off due to the fact people dont know what BETA means haha

I used to be a Socom junkie until I was introduced to the greatness that is MGO. I went into the Socom beta thinking this is gonna be bye bye MGO, but then realised just how limited you are in Socom and how out of date it really is. Unless they drastically improve Socom in future instalments I will never buy a Socom game again. Never thought Id say that, but its so damn mediocre now. And I love tactical shooters! Sorry my old fellow Socom fans, but you guys are stuck in the past. If it weren't for the PS2 titles, people would be laughing at confrontation.

Anyways Dead Space does indeed look cool. I'm gonna give it a try and I hope I like it. And to the guy who wrote it off as trash for being an EA game, not all EA games are bad. Oddworld Stangers Wrath was one of the best titles last gen. EA does have there occasional gems.

Also I believe ppl understand what a beta is. A lot of us are just disapointed with the lack of improvement over the past titles already outdated and mediocre gameplay. That kind of stuff doesnt change after a beta.

They are two different games really.

Personally, I like Socom and I know very well I'll be playing for months to come as there will be good number of updates for it.

Dead Space is a rent for me.

Dead space for me i have MGS 4 (MGO)
So Socom would kinda be like having two similar games
