Some Demons Souls questions

In 4-1 how do i reach all those guys on legdes. And up to places i cant find any ways to get up to (at the beggining of the level)

How do i kill that big fat dude 4-1.

When i equip the Bastard sword it says ability shortage, do i need higher equip burden or item burden for that to go away?

There's a way to reach them, just look around.

You're talking about the fat guy near the beginning of 4-1 I assume (not the boss), i just ran around him and hit him in the back.

With ability shortages, you either don't have enough strength or dexterity, depending on the weapon (I don't remember what kind of sword the bastard sword is)

You need either more equip burden or strength (it will show in red on the status screen of the sword).

you most likely dont have enough strength to equip the bastard sword, i know its a pretty heavy sword.

the big guy (vanguard) in 4-1 is optional, though his soul can be used for making the dozer axe. The easiest and cheapest way to kill him is from ranged, he doesn't like leaving his position you can arrow/magic him down without him ever coming close enough to hit you.

He is quite fun to melee though, you want to get behind him, use a 2h stance and chop away, when he hovers his about to do a butt slam , do a roll just before he hits the ground and it wont effect you, then get back in and start chopping his back.

As for you sword yeah you need more strength probably, you can look at the item in your inventory and hit square i think, and it should say what minimum stats you need, or the strategy guide probably says, the wiki definitely does.

For your first question just look at this. If you don't want to thenthat's fine, heh.

1) I really can't tell you how to defeat Vanguard (Mini-boss) - I assume you're talking about him, correct? There are many ways to defeat him; Melee, Magic, Range. . . just pick. I can tell how I killed him - on my first playthrough, I just used a Compound Long bow +1, with regular arrows you can buy for the blacksmith in the Nexus.

2) You need 18 strength in order to wield it.

Edit: Also, Vanguard is one of many bosses you don't have to fight.

Also, where can you sell items. Baldwin has no place to sell items

Also in 2-1 i know you have to get to Blacksmith ed by moving those platforms. How do you move the platforms

You can't sell items.

Progress through the level - there should be a lever around the second fog gate. Once you activate it, you'll be able to reach him.

You can't use there services anymore and you character tenedency turns black. Mephistopheles offers you a quest to kill them all with some rewards but only do it if your about to start a new game.
