Because their are several loopholes in the whole "Exclusive" thing, and sony doesn't want to waste their money.
Example: For ps1 there was a game called darkstalkers that they signed a contract on and paid capcom to keep it exclusive. Capcom kept their promise, but released the SAME GAME for sega saturn and called it "Night Warriors" instead. They did nothing wrong in the process, but sony paid thousands or maybe even millions :\? to keep the title of the game.
We didnt even get it as a timed exclusive. What the hell Sony?AgentZero225
Yeah we did. Japan allways gts the FF games like a year earlier, and no 360 japan version plus the fact that FF13 will sell like hotcakes ove there is good news for sony. But square knew that it would not be very succesful here if they tried to push the PS3 on america, so they will sell more 360 versions here, which is ultimately better for enix.

JEW-MAGIC, did I play you on COD4 today? In any case, I dont understand sonys game plan this gen.
I dont know if you guys remember but Sony was so driven to win the the PS came out. They were hell bent on beating nintendo, its like their not hungry any more.AgentZero225No they weren't, read my thread, they were pissed, certainly, but the devs were even more so. Thats why they had so much success, the devs felt sorry for sony, so developed for their console, sometimes exclusively.

non the less, sony needs to do something. Its not the end of the world but its still a major hit.

No, it really isn't. You just think it is. In reality Sony will just move along like they always have. It shouldn't even matter to you, you own a ps3 already I assume. The ones that this really effects are people who were on the fence about getting a ps3, but wanted FF. Now they have no real reason unless they find they want another game.
