hey guys just recently ive been getting the urge to play my old ps2 games on my Ps3 but all i get is a blank screen when i insert the disk. Ive tried ffXII and god of war 2 which are said to be backwards compatible with my 60gig ps3 but for some reason this blank screen come up.

I always use to play them on my Ps3 which ive had since launch and i think its got sumfin to do maybe with the last update (2.20).

Can anyone help me please

i highly doubt that too coz it useto play these games flawlessly nd they were in the exact same condition. The unusual bit is that the ps3 can play normal dvd's but not ps2 formatted dvd's.

http://faq.eu.playstation.com/bc/bcGames.htm there is no mention of GoW2 on that list so playing it on the PS3 won't do anything as for FFX2 to get the best time out of that game look for this SLES-54357 it should be down near the bottom of the sleeve
